shesxchaotic (772.1 days ago) My old bosses daughter had this 4 times I believe. Once it pops out once, they`re prone to pop out again. It`s pretty common though
nmck (772.3 days ago) My older sister was shopping with my little sister (they are 25 yrs apart in age) when my little sister was a toddler. My little sis hid under a clothing rack and my older sis went frantic looking for her. When she found her, she was so happy she jerked her up to hug her and pulled her elbow out of socket.
hunnybunnysmama (772.4 days ago) my arms popped out of their sockets very easily as a child so I am extra careful with my 2 year old... a friend of mine just went to grap her 20 months hand and her elbow popped out of it`s socket and the Dr. also just popped it right back in and sent them home with a bit of tylenol. I think it`s pretty common.
megandgrace (772.4 days ago) Thanks ladies! And yes i did watch the doctor put it back into place and it went back in very easily the doctor said. It was just another scary moment as a mom and i still feel bad that i was the one who did it to her but she is doing fine and i have been more careful with her arms and playing with her so that it doesn`t happen again. The doctor did tell me that it is more prone to happen again on the same arm all the way up until 4 years old when their joints are stronger!
My5Babies:) (772.4 days ago) did you watch to see how they put it back? It is very easy to do.
My5Babies:) (772.4 days ago) My daughter has had this happen a few times. I learned how to place it back. She does it herself just playing. It will happen more often now since she has done it a few times.
Peachy09 (Ashlyn) (772.5 days ago) My mom told me I used to just drop if I didn`t want to go wherever we were going & a my shoulder popped out a few times. Once I wouldn`t use it for a few hours & we went to the ER, but I just started using it again so we went home. It happens!
Angel-baby (772.5 days ago) This has happened to my daughter not once but twice. The first time, her uncle was on the ground wrestling and twirling her around and after they were done playing, she was crying that her hand hurt.. After an hour or two of her not wanting to mover her hand, I took her to the ER where her elbow was out of place. It actually went back into place on its own when they went to take a xray and when she lifted her arm up- it went back into place.. The second time her sister was pulling on her arm and it happened again.. This time, I just took her to the doctor. The doctor did say that once it happens it is a little bit more prone to happening again. Don`t be hard on yourself. It can happen so easily and an easy fix.
jaychay (772.5 days ago) my friends mum pulled him up off the ground by one arm and this is what happened to him
megandgrace (772.5 days ago) I forgot to add that its called `nurse maids elbow` because it usually happens when your walking with a child holding their hands and they trip and you yank them up by their arm, pulling the elbow out of socket!
