canadababy (771.6 days ago) My crockpot has 2 different cooking settings, low and high. High cooks in half the time, low is regular time.

I have a large one that cooks really fast too, and I use it for large meals. And I have a smaller one for smaller portion recipes.
nutnut (772 days ago) if its bigger it will cook different as well as how much liquid. all different factors will affect it. i got a new one recently that has 3 different sized inserts, which is wonderful actually. it cuts the cook time down alot on the smaller portions. it did take me some time to get used to, an recipe cook times were different for sure.
Holly28 (772.2 days ago) Good to know, thanks. I only put in two large pork chops instead of 4-6 like I usually would have. I think this contributed huh. However, when I did a roast this weekend in it after 6 hrs my roast was totally overdone..and usually they take the full 8hrs.
