california-mom (769.5 days ago) Id be excited lol Ive always wanted a home birth but wont bc you just never know what can happen. Id feel like I finally could do it without guilt =S Id call my mom and my husband would do jsut fine.
SunshineBaby1 (769.8 days ago) lol - my sister is a paramedic and ironically, is always working when it snows - so I`d call 911 and hubby would call my sis and between all of them, the ambulance would follow the plow. How`s that for a nice, tidy thing? We`d be in trouble, my labor stalled with our first and he went into distress, needing oxygen when he was born and I hemmoragged so badly I ended up passing out and needed blood. So I`d feel better being at a hospital in case either of us needed help. Yes, women have done it for years, and if we had to - any one of us would. But there was also a much higher mortality rate for mommies and babies before our curent technology!
Lookalike (769.8 days ago) I would be releived to have a valid excuse to have a home birth and my husband wouldn`t be able to drag me to the hospital.
aidensmommy1 (769.9 days ago) That happend here where im from last winter. It was blizzarding out and she went into labor, it took an ambulance and snow plows like 4 hours to finally get to her house they got there right in time and she delivered in the ambulance on the way to the hospital. I would call 911 at the first thought of me in labor, she waited until her contractions were a couple min apart.
ArcticArlz (769.9 days ago) what can you do? Have a baby and try not to totally freak out. Do I have internet access? That would likely help a lot.
Str8 As (770 days ago) Pray for guidance, get in the tub and have one of my daughters on the phone with 911 or be on speaker phone as I am delivering...that would be a jacked up situation to be in!!!
RobinG (770 days ago) Call 911 and pray someone can get me to the hospital ~ I`d never want a home delivery ~
ProudmommyofRyanandAlex (770 days ago) I would be on the phone with 911 and having them coach me through it. I would be giving them every little detail as to whats going on and happening that way they could give me the accurate information. That way they could also accurately tell me what to do next. I`m sure hubby would be there so he`d be able to tell me what it`s looking like down below hahaha. He could be the one to deliver him/her too :-). Scary part is lets just hope theres nothing wrong with the baby and hope that you don`t run into any complications :-). My sons cord was around his neck and my oldest son was born early. his lungs weren`t matured or anything so he had to go straight onto oxygen. I guess it`s a good thing that I had both hospital deliveries :-D
mrsjmickens1 (770.2 days ago) lol....cry n call 911 n deliver my baby myself
Holly28 (770.3 days ago) I live a block away from the hospital so it wouldn`t be an issue. Even if I didn`t though I wouldn`t worry though because labor generally takes HOURS (or days in my case) so there would easily be time for someone to arrive.
angie2008 (770.3 days ago) Call 911 and have them help walk you through everything if you absolutely had to do it at home. I would hve dh go to neighbors to see if anyone had experience ect. People did it at home for many years bevore they had hospitals. And I would pray that there werent` any complications.
Love.Nora (770.3 days ago) I would call an ambulance and a tow truck for it and a fire truck to pull the both of them LOLS...But for real umm I may be stuck having it at home in the tub haha
