I just gave my 18 month old a salad last week for dinner(with her protein etc) and she LOVED it and finished off mine! I just cut the lettuce up real small.

I was told that lettuce is a high choke risk,so I haven`t given it to my 2 yr old. Igive her other salad ingredients, though.

Sarah had her first bites last week. She Loves salad. She`s 13 months old and no teeth. She eats pretty good for no choppers, lol.

My son is 3 and still won`t eat salad. My daughter is 20mo and loves it. I started giving it to her around 18mo.

Im not sure when she first tried it but i know she really didn`t eat it until she got her molars when she could chew it before that she would just suck off the dressing then spit it out. I don`t really ever give her salad for herself but i will give her bites of mine if i am eating it.

I have given Gavin lettuce before but in very little peices. Gavin is just like Alex - he stuffs everything down his mouth! lol

My daughter tries to eat it and usually has a hard time getting it down. So she generally just spits it out. She is 18 months.

My son is 15 months and I am just curious about this. He has a friend who is the same age and is eating it like a pro. I want to give it to him but he just stuffs everything in his mouth at once and and I can see him choking on the lettuce
