my sun was nearly 21 months when we took him to Hawaii in August and he did really well on the airplane... and surprisingly he only got a lil tiny sun burn that lasted one day..the whole 7 days we were there.... use lots of sunblock, and i brought a lot of swim diapers and his swimmer (its like a life jacket but diff, called a puddle jumper) we spent alot of time in the pool not the ocean, he was a lil frkeaed out about the ocean, the waves, the salt water in his face and mouth... but he did have a good time

I did but we had to take himin every 2 hours or so he was under an umbrella the whole time just remember sun reflects off the sand so lotion well even if under the umbrella and make sure you put diaper rash or petroleum along diaper line sand gets trapped and causes diaper rash
