my daughter is 20 pounds also and she is 5 months! she was a big baby ive been putting her in 18 to 24 month clothes!

My son was 18 lbs at his 5 month check-up. He was 8lbs 15oz, big babies stay big until they start running around, like willow said. He`s finally started slowing down at 9 months. At his appt. last week he was 21 lbs.

I know my nephew was 20 lbs 10 oz at 6 months. He is going to be one on Monday and has to be at least 27 pounds now. He was a roly poly baby but now that he is walking he has really started to thin out. I think your son is fine. All babies are different which is why the percentiles range is so wide.

My son weighed 19.9lbs at his 4+ month appointment.. He was 8.3 at birth and is EBF. Even though I know his weight is `off the chart`, his doctor didn`t seemed concerned. He was also 26 1/2 inches long so was 95th percentile for height.. He has always been `bigger` at every appointment. I am not concerned because I know once he starts getting active, he should slim down some..

My girl was about 12 - 13 lbs at 5 months,she was only 5 lbs 9 oz at birth.If ur doc isnt worried then he is fine.Dd is now 12 months and 20 lbs 7 oz

depends on the length and bone structure. if the doctor isn`t worried. i wouldn`t worry :)

my son was 20 lbs at 6 months. and he wasn`t big when he was born - 7 lbs 9 oz. he was a bit chubby that`s true, but i never worried too much, he is now almost 2 and 29 lbs and perfect. don`t worry, you can;t overfeed a baby:)

Alex was about 15 pounds at 5 months old. He never reached 19-20 pounds until he turned 1. I`m sure your LO is just fine...every baby grows differently! Do you BF that can make a big difference. (:

My girl was 27 inches and 15 pounds. She is now 12 months and 22 pounds. Both of my children didnt reach the 20 pound mark until they were both 10 months old.
