Well ladies Riley came all by himself. My water broke 9.30 last friday night and i had cramping then contractions until i had him at 3.54 the next afternoon. No need for cervidil or pitocin yay!

Natural onset of labor with my first and it was almost painless, a total breeze. 2nd was induced with cervidil and a LOT more intense but doable and ok. 3rd was pitocin and though it was the shortest labor and delivery it was an awful experience. Excruciating, out of control pain that Id never experienced before (they were all natural, no epidurals etc). After the pitocin experience I will NEVER be induced again. Part of the reason I go natural is to enjoy the entire experience and be in the presence. That was like impossible with all the pain.

With my first my water broke at 38wks with not one contraction so I was induced. Second time I was scheduled for induction and when I got there I was having contractions, but just not strong enough to do anything so I got the PIT. Third baby I was induced at 36wks b/c I was having some problems. And my last lo I was induced at 39wks by choice, as we figured I would probably have to be anyways. My body just does not make strong contractions for some reason. I`m done having babies now!

I was just curious to see some other situations, i was induced with my son because my waters broke at 37+6 weeks and my body made no progress for 14 hours. I`m 34 week`s now with my second and hoping i can do it myself this time without any help.

I am curious to know this too! Was induces with my first as she was 16 days over due, was 7lb 2oz. Am hoping I`m not kept waiting this time round!

I was only induced with my first and that was because i was young and a week over... She weighed in at 7lb 4oz... my son was not, he was 3 days early and weighed 7lb 12 1/2 oz.... my daughter was born on her due date and was 7lb 9oz, and my youngest a day before his due date was only 6lb 11oz.... so my weights fluctuated... but i had an easy induction with my oldest...emy you poor thing... i could not imagine a baby that big...

I was going to post this poll today too! I was induced b/c the first was 9lb 7oz 5days early! Drs say that it will likely be the case again as babies are usually failry close in size...We shall see...24 weeks today ;-)

I was induced with my first because he was measuring small and my placenta was no longer supplying him the needed nutrients- looks like the same thing is going to happen with this pregnancy- I am dreading being induced again because it was pure hell!
