ashleyplus2 (756.5 days ago) I got it for my 16 mo son a few months ago, but we`ve only done the first disk so far. He did really well with it, but they are kind of boring and he gets sidetracked. Its not a huge priority for me at the moment seeing as I am 8 months preggers. I just thought for now it would help him learn some new words.
tto (756.6 days ago) Oh, my last thought. A lot of parents think that just because their child masters a skill early, they must be good parents or have a really smart kid. That`s not the best reason to do something like this. All kids are smart in their own way, and parents are good parents if their children are caring and responsible. But they don`t have to PROVE that to anyone, necessarily. I`m not saying that`s you, but just another thought.

Let your children be children while they still can be. Life gets complicated too soon! Second, if you just read to your children and talk about the ABC`s, they`ll have all they need to learn to read in school. Third, kids have to have a certain amount of life experience to understand the story and vocabulary. So even if they can read the words early, there`s more to it than that. But, if you really want to be more proactive, let them play on Starfall.com for free. Then it is just fun, not work. Hope that helps.
