KFinTX (754.5 days ago) I use a blender and ice cube trays. I blend EVERYTHING! All kinds of fruits and veggies: squash, carrots, peas, green beans, sweet potatoes, apricots, peaches, pears, bananas, blueberries, mangoes, it goes on and on! I steam the veggies before I blend them, that way vitamins are not lost by boiling.

california-mom (755.2 days ago) Ive never fed my kids baby food...I pretty much mash or blend anything were eating-fruits, veggies, spaghetti, tofu, anything!
nmck (755.4 days ago) I used either my blender or magic bullet. I used fresh frozen veggies most often. We only made our own if it was cost effective since store brands really do have very little preservatives with more health conscious consumers. We made sweet potatoes, green beans, green beans mixed with corn, peaches, white potatoes, carrots, peas. We also bought a large jar of natural applesauce and froze it in ice cube trays b/c it is so much less expensive than baby applesauce. You can also use cans of pure pumpkin...nothing in the ingredients but pumpkin. Our son LOVED that.
bexnz (755.4 days ago) you can use anything..... apple, peach, plum, pear. potato, swede, carrots, silverbeet, pasnip, pumpkin, the ideas are endless. adding minced beef also, or chicken, fish.
bexnz (755.4 days ago) i boil fruit till very soft in just a small ammount of water, drain and reserve the water then puree adding small amounts of the reserved water till it is the right consistcy. and the same with the veges. if you make in large amounts you can freeze in ice trays till frozen then put in seal up bags and grab what you want out when you need it, it saves soooooo much money. you can add flavours too, when they get a bit older, i used to put jarred crushed garlic in my oldests veges in the winter (small amount) and gravy, etc.
