I have a tattoo in the same area (you can look at my photos). I`ve only had one kid and do NOT plan on having another but everyone`s bodies are different. Your taking a chance when you get pregnant again. It could possibly not look `right` after a child but it could look perfectly fine. You just never know until afterwards.

I don`t know if it will stretch out or not. But I wanted to tell you that you can`t base how stretchmarks will be with a second baby, based on the first. With my first I got one teeny, tiny stretchmark on my upper belly. With my second, I got 3 little ones on my hip and 2 little ones on my lower belly. I think it`s different with each pregnancy :)

I have one around my hip, and when I had my first baby at 22, it stretched but went back to normal, even with a huge weight gain. But then I had my son at 27, gained less weight, but the tattoo is now a huge black blob. Maybe too much stretching? IDK, but I`d go with ladobruk`s advice- wait until you`re done having babies

I have a tattoo in the same exact spot....It does stretch out a little and the color fades, so you will prob have to have a touch up...but mine went back to relatively normal!

Its different for everyone depending on many things-elasticity of their skin, how much they gain, if theyll get stretch marks (stretch marks over tattoos are....odd looking lol)...I have a hip one and it just looks like wider and different and NOT as cute as before. And Im thin and didnt get stretch marks besides a couple light ones, didnt gain alot of weight with my pregnancies and lost it real fast. I wont be getting anymore anywhere on my torso bc of that risk of it getting ruined with future pregnancies...

Oh, and I already had a tattoo at the top of my back and that tickled compared to this one ;)

I have a tattoo in the same spot but it ends about an inch above my hip and it`s about 3 inches wide, it`s about the size of your hand from the base of your palm to the tips of your fingers. It didn`t stretch even a tiny bit and I gained 42lbs in my last pregnancy. The only thing I`d warn you about it HOW MUCH IT HURTS!!!! When I went in I thought, really, how much could it hurt, lol, and man, it frickin hurt. It`s in a great spot though to not be affected by how big you get during pregnancy. Good luck!

  1. OMG, I posted on FB (in reponse to a suggestion made to me on From Our House To Yours) that I didn`t like a business because the items were very expensive and my friend got a bad deal there and the owner is threatening to sue me! Have you ever heard of such a thing? I actually paid a consultation fee and my lawyer told me that she was `absurd with possible mental health problems.` I am protected by the fisrt ammendment to express my honest opinions freely where I choose, but he said she can take it to court(because people can TRY to sue over anything) anyway and that it might cost me legal bills. We will both be out a lot of money because she couldn`t possibly win. Can you believe that? FML! First my records and now this! I hope my baby isn`t a bad luck baby. I see people not recommending or recommending businesses all the time on FB!
  2. Is SaraKelly still on here? I know she was a mod but I didn`t see her post in the previous Who Is A Mod poll...
  3. ANGRY!!!! My jenakers account is missing my ENTIRE journal from my high risk pregnancy and my letthisonestick account for my 7 month old is completely gone along with my journal. I AM SICK OVER IT!
  4. I`ve re-thought the moderating of the member-postings. How does this sound? Let`s change it to usage, rather than length of time as a member. Say your first 10 or 20 polls, questions and pictures need to be approved by a Mod or something like that. Someone posting the racist polls and adding the kiddie porn is unlikely to participate as a normal member. Once you are verified as a regular member you`re no longer monitored.
  5. How long did it take you to get pregnant after you got your IUD (Mirena) out?
  6. Twilight valentines for 7 year olds... appropriate or not? DD received a valentine with a very... sultry smoldery Edward on the front and I was just kind of surprised that anyone would buy those for 7 year olds? I know I`m on the conservative side in general on those kinds of things, but this really surprised me!
  7. My daughter is almost 5 months and 3 weeks ago my hair started falling out. I know it`s normal but how long did it last for you?
  8. With all the issues going on with the site maybe we need an updated list on Mods. Obviously Laura is the one to go to but if there is a concern and it needs immediate attention and a Mod is online it may be good to know who is who so you can reach out to them. Mods, can you please post here so we know who you are. (Esp since some profiles names had to be changed because of recent log on issues)
  9. Anyone wanna try http://parentspuzzlepieces.spruz.com/ a free community site I just made? Let me know if you want the password and would want to help add things to it!!
  10. I think with all the posting issues IAP needs to appoint someone to verify all pictures, polls, questions, etc that are posted by new members. Sure, it`ll probably make things slower, but something needs to be done! Many websites have this installed and IAP needs it as well. Members that have been on the site for a certain time can be exempt, but if you are a new member, posts should be monitored. I`m going to copy this suggestoin to Laura and if you agree you should too!! :)
