jenakers... i normally would do that...but he stands at the end of his crib and literally screams til hes all red faced and sweaty... if i try to stand in his room without picking him up he still crys and reaches for me... i realize i am reineforcing the behavior but i just cant let him scream like that for hours on end... i am wondering if he doenst like his door shut... lb71- thanks i will check that book out..cause my what to expect book doesnt have much advice i havent already tried

JMO, Taking him out of his bed is reinforcing him to scream and cry to get out every night. As long as he`s dry, fed, isn`t in pain and has no fever, I would go in, say it`s bedtime tuck him in and leave. If he carries on. I`d go in, not say a word, smile, and lovingly tuck him back in...or let him cry a little. The second you pick him up, it reinforces his behavior.
