lovemyfamily (744.9 days ago) I have started to already, but I plan to continue forever hopefully :) I have looked into unschooling now as another member on this site does it with her children and I have found tons of benefits and it definitely feels like it`s the direction we`ll be taking
xst4rmommie2x (744.9 days ago) uhh well im still young and all and i am a teen parent which i do understand protecting your children from other kids that are complete perverts and in florida the schooling sucks.their too focused on standerize testing but im broke and i need to get a job and go to school myself but i dont think it will make much of a diffrence if they go to public school or not.its just how you talk to your kids my dad didnt care enough about me so i was dumb and looked for love in the oh so wrong place.
Lookalike (745 days ago) Homeschooling is not popular around here either but most of the parents around here are teen moms who got knocked up in high shcool. The public schools are horrendous and completely below par. I will homeschool my kids to spare them the injustice of sending them to these disgusting public schools here. If I lived somewhere else I wouldn`t mind sending them to public school. Private school is not an option either since they`re worse than the public schools.
military~mommy (745.1 days ago) I was homeschooled, there were many many benefits, however I work full time and do not plan to homeschool. If I were in a position to do so and/or my daughter had issues with a public school environment then I would in a heartbeat.
Danetteplustwo (745.1 days ago) We home-school for pre-school with a co-op of several other mommies. Sending her to a regular pre-school was too expensive - several hundred dollars a month plus application fees, material fees and a 100 plus hours of volunteering (with an 80 dollar fine per hour missed) is standard in this area. I was homeschooled growing up so I wasn`t worried about the details of it. My first choice will be to send her to school when she`s old enough (our public schools here are great!), but if it doesn`t work out we`ll discuss other options.
LakeErieMomma (745.1 days ago) I agree every parent homeschools to an extent, at least I would hope they did. I considered it with my son after he was diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome, but luckily we found a private school that specials in Autism Spectrum Disorders that we could transport him back and forth to.

domsmom2009 (745.3 days ago) Homeschooling is not very popular where I live.
