california-mom (737.7 days ago) I home scholl my older 2 so theres a basic routine-Breakfast, get dressed and teeth brushed then meet back downstairs to start homeschooling, a couple hours with written work, then the library, park, errands whatever, then home, lunch, more home schooling, play time, art projects, reading then relaxation time (by then its about pm. In between there is nap time and taking care of the baby and cleaning.
Lookalike (737.8 days ago) we have a schedule, but kind of loose, not a basic routine since the naps are very regemented as far as their start time but I do certain things according to when he naps and how long. Naps are at 11 and 4 and generally last 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 hours and I work out while he sleeps, and do chores and run errands with him in the sling when he`s awake. The rest of the day is just a basic routine.
soon2be3 (737.8 days ago) I`m not a SAHM, but our weekend routines are pretty routine. Our kids eat lunch, nap, eat dinner, and go to bed at the same time each day. I am one of those moms who would leave a playdate to get the kids to bed. Our kids are in such a routine, that if we push back one of those times, the window of opportunity for their nap closes and it is a major battle to get them to go down. Our kids are huge creatures of habit and actually seen to really like the routine. During summer and winter breaks, my husband is a SAHD and he keeps them on the same routine. They usually go out for some type of activity during the morning hours...he likes to be out and about with them.
canadababy (737.8 days ago) When I was at home for the first year we were out a lot. I tried to be in the car driving for her nap times so she could still get them around the same time and I would often sit in the car reading a magazine until she woke up, but it was never a concrete routine. Bedtime was always between 7-8pm, unless we were at my MILs for dinner or there was some other event going on. I tried to follow the Baby Whisperer routine wher it was sleep, eat, play, nap. It wasn`t too important how long each of those times were or if they were at the exact same time everyday, but just that they were in the same order all the time. A few of my girlfriends would often have to leave our playdates because their kids HAD to be at home in their bed for a nap at 1pm, I always thought that was a little much, we were much more relaxed :)
LakeErieMomma (737.8 days ago) We never have the same routine during the day. Morning and bedtime seem to be somewhat routined, but what we do throughout the day is always different.
hunnybunnysmama (737.8 days ago) My days follow a pattern but are a bit different. We get up, drink milk, eat breakfast, get dressed, go out (usually to the park, grocery store, library, Children`s museum, indoor play, etc.) come home, eat lunch, take a nap - and after nap I start dinner and then daddy is home. Some days I stay home in the morning if my laundry is backed up or my house is a mess...and I`ll get caught up on these things during the couple house we`re usually out and about.
Stay@HomeZOOKeepa (737.8 days ago) Everyday is different. I would go crazy if my days were the same. Somedays we are home all day and others not..after a year old my kids tend to get tired at different times depending on what we do. So beside the breakfast, lunch, dinner thing...totally random.
juels101 (737.9 days ago) Naps and bed time I follow religiously, but besides those things, very much hour by hour. The house is in a different state daily, some days there is nothing to clean and we just play all day. Some days its a disaster and I arrange for the kids to be more occupied without me to get more done. And then there are the days when nothing goes to plan, all plan is out the window and it`s a disaster lol and at the end of the day daddy comes home, is handed the kids and I go for a hot bath while he puts them to bed haha.
LKLmama (737.9 days ago) I am a SAHM but we dont `stay at home` We are always out at the park, library, shopping.. It would be hard to have a schedule unless I planned on staying home all day... not gonna happen.
