my hubby is a general manager and when he terms someone on the spot they have 48 hrs to get the paycheck to them if he knows he`s going to do it in advanced he has the check in hand for when he does it

um the same amount of time that he would have got his next check......file unemployment it helps alot

Sounds like since they let him go, now is the time to have the mercy to do it... I don`t blame him for wanting time off. I`d be stressed too.. What did he do to have to work so many hours straight?? I`d check into that law- you may have a lawsuit against them??!!

Not sure that it is. I know here in california that 8 hours are to elapse between shifts. And that hasn`t been then case in many events. We have been very tempted to turn them in but have NOT at their mercy.....

My husband was fired because (get this), he wanted time off due to stress. He works anywhere from 16-20 hour days 7 days a week, with only 1 day off of 3 months straight of work. It has now been 80 hours since he was let go, and no final paycheck. We live in california. I thought if terminated he was to be given his final paycheck immediatly, but he was told by his employer that they were allowed 72 hours.
