Stay@HomeZOOKeepa (727.6 days ago) Alugo- Yeah no toilet paper perdiod! LOL. Cute thought though!! They give you a squirt bottle imstead of wiping vajayjay.
I wanted to add: They have great pads with ice in them and I would pretend to go through them faster than I was to take a couple home. Also they put these Pads under you (like dog potty pads, LOL) take those too. They are great for the first couple nights at home with new baby as a changing pad. That way if they do pee you just toss it, really nice for a tired mommy. Other changing pads are great too but still need cleaning if urinated on! LOL.
MamaTex (727.7 days ago) I packed a bag for both my son and myself. However, the only things I used were the toiletries, going home outfits, and camera. Don`t stress too much about what to put in your bag.
canadababy (727.7 days ago) I had a nightgown for nursing, a housecoat, slippers and toiletries like the mini-shampoos, lotions, etc. Where I delivered they had great maxi-pads, I was warned to bring my own but didn`t end up needing them..although I`d rather have them and not need them.. You`ll need a going-home outfit, they say something you wore at 5months along (at least) I wore a sweatsuit. I had a going-home outfit for our DD as well, but she wore the hospital gown in the hospital. We don`t have `nurseries` here, all the babies stay with the moms so you don`t have to worry about them all looking alike, although if you do the different outfit is a good idea. Definitely cell phone and charger, camera and charger, magazines, snacks, drinks. We didn`t bring the carseat when we went in to deliver, DH only brought that when he came to pick me up to go home. My biggest advice is try to pack light :) It`s nice to have lots of stuff but it`s horrible to carry *everything* plus the baby to the car afterward :)
MommyOf3But4ToBe (728 days ago) I packed a cozy going home outfit for myself, and going home outfit for the baby, his carseat, my toothbrush, hairbrush, pillow, blanket, CAMERA, ummmm if i think of anything else i will just text you, lol.... As for the baby wipes, i would not worry about those, the ones the hospital uses are like washcloths i swear they are awsome... cant remember why i had some, but they are thick and from what i understand they are the standard for what they give... they generally provide diapers but if you want to start on your cloth diapers you can bring those... hmmmm if anything you cal always ask them at your next appointment what they give you or will have jackson in that way you know if you want to bring clothes for him to sleep in while there... im not sure how long the hospital will keep us... heck if i was alowed to go home the same day i would, but only because they dont let you sleep anyways....
alugo (728.1 days ago) TOILET PAPER! The hospital stuff sucks :) And the last thing you want to do is wipe yourself with sandpaper after hours of labor!
LizzyB. (728.1 days ago) With my second child, one thing that I remembered to pack was an extra bag to carry out all my extra things I got in the hospital. It was nice to be able to carry everything out that time. If you have visitors, sometimes they bring gifts, and I got to take home the extra diapers, pads, and other hospital things.
nycmommy (728.1 days ago) A friend gave me this tip and I didn`t take it but then at the hospital I wishes I did... It might sound funny but depends/adult diapers because i lost alot of blood after delivery (sorry tmi) but not even the hospital pads which are huge helped....
Comfy clothes definatly you don`t want to be in a hospital gown all the time clothes for the baby... Cell phone and charger some snacks chapstick oh Baby wipes their first poos are so icky and hard to clean with what the hospital gives you... Have a fast and easy delivery hun and whatever you forget you can always make your family members run out and get it for you lol
domsmom2009 (728.1 days ago) I packed mini shampoos, lotions... stuff that kinda made me feel at home. so comfy clothes, a take me home outfit for my son with a backup one incase it didn`t fit lol some highrise undies (thank god cuz I ended up with a c-section) some slippers. the pads at the hospital were amazing so I didn`t bring any extras. tooth brush and tooth past. some recieving blankets for baby (head support in car seat). DEF. chapstick.
MiniOface (728.2 days ago) Your own pillow!!!! and a blanket for your SO to use if they are spending the night.
Stay@HomeZOOKeepa (728.2 days ago) Well any list you find online is good! I say bring outfits, blankets and hats for your baby to wear. They otherwise will put your baby in hospital onsies and blankets and yours will look like all the others in the nursery :) Also carseat. Then for you comfy clothes for after delivery and slippers and a robe for during! Anything that will make you more comfortable. Shampoo and soap. But take advantage of their heavy duty pads and diapers!
cutelilsurprise (728.2 days ago) I made sure I packed an US pic of my baby...in a special frame and everything so that I could look at it throughout my labor to remind me of how special my prize would be at the end of all my hard work.
