jasmineflower`s poll Show results | Hide results

Pregnancy-poll poll TMI - I am 35 weeks pregnant. This morning I went pee and wiped. I stood up to pull up my pants and there was a sudden SMALL gush of fluid. It was clear and had no odor. It wasn`t a lot at all but strange. I layed down for an hour (like I have read to do) and there was no more leaking. Is this nothing or should I call the doc? Comments appreciated. Thanks.

your baby prob just pushed on your bladder and made you pee. It used to happen to me every morning since about 35 weeks. I would go pee wipe stand up and walk towards the shower and there would be something running down my leg. I was just my LO pushing on my bladder as I stood up.So i peed myself. I wouldnt worry about it since you have no craps or signs or labor. But if you feel you need to call then by all means call... thats what they get paid for.

I would definitely give the dr a call. Probably nothing to worry about it but its best to be on the safe side and make sure that everythings ok for sure.

I went to the hospital at 40+4 as I had a LOT of fluid, it was just discharge. I would go to be sure, but to me my waters felt like nothing I ever could`ve expected. It felt like hot syrup coming out that just kept coming and coming...

My water broke 10:30 the night I went into labor. It stopped so I thought it was a random fluke. I found out 9 hours later that my water had broken and my LOs head had corked up my cervix. I would go into L&D just to be safe.

I would go into labor and delivery and just let them check, better to be safe then sorry. I saw on a birth story the other day a girl whose water broke but she didn`t know and she went a few days and got a HORRID infection, her temp went up to 102 and the babies heartbeat was in the 200`s. It is most likely what mamadearest said but I don`t think I would take the chance after seeing that show. Sometimes your bag just leaks in small amounts.. Maybe go for a walk first and see if any more leaks?

If it was your water breaking than laying down would probably make no more come out, just because of your position. I would put on a pad and go about your regular day. IF the pad gets wet then I would go in to the dr immdiately and get them to test the pad for amniotic fluid. If it is your water breaking you need to be in the hospital, you have an increased risk of infection and the cord could start to come out which is really bad news (prolapsed cord). Just keep an eye on it, it could be serious :)

  1. OMG, I posted on FB (in reponse to a suggestion made to me on From Our House To Yours) that I didn`t like a business because the items were very expensive and my friend got a bad deal there and the owner is threatening to sue me! Have you ever heard of such a thing? I actually paid a consultation fee and my lawyer told me that she was `absurd with possible mental health problems.` I am protected by the fisrt ammendment to express my honest opinions freely where I choose, but he said she can take it to court(because people can TRY to sue over anything) anyway and that it might cost me legal bills. We will both be out a lot of money because she couldn`t possibly win. Can you believe that? FML! First my records and now this! I hope my baby isn`t a bad luck baby. I see people not recommending or recommending businesses all the time on FB!
  2. Is SaraKelly still on here? I know she was a mod but I didn`t see her post in the previous Who Is A Mod poll...
  3. ANGRY!!!! My jenakers account is missing my ENTIRE journal from my high risk pregnancy and my letthisonestick account for my 7 month old is completely gone along with my journal. I AM SICK OVER IT!
  4. I`ve re-thought the moderating of the member-postings. How does this sound? Let`s change it to usage, rather than length of time as a member. Say your first 10 or 20 polls, questions and pictures need to be approved by a Mod or something like that. Someone posting the racist polls and adding the kiddie porn is unlikely to participate as a normal member. Once you are verified as a regular member you`re no longer monitored.
  5. How long did it take you to get pregnant after you got your IUD (Mirena) out?
  6. Twilight valentines for 7 year olds... appropriate or not? DD received a valentine with a very... sultry smoldery Edward on the front and I was just kind of surprised that anyone would buy those for 7 year olds? I know I`m on the conservative side in general on those kinds of things, but this really surprised me!
  7. My daughter is almost 5 months and 3 weeks ago my hair started falling out. I know it`s normal but how long did it last for you?
  8. With all the issues going on with the site maybe we need an updated list on Mods. Obviously Laura is the one to go to but if there is a concern and it needs immediate attention and a Mod is online it may be good to know who is who so you can reach out to them. Mods, can you please post here so we know who you are. (Esp since some profiles names had to be changed because of recent log on issues)
  9. Anyone wanna try http://parentspuzzlepieces.spruz.com/ a free community site I just made? Let me know if you want the password and would want to help add things to it!!
  10. I think with all the posting issues IAP needs to appoint someone to verify all pictures, polls, questions, etc that are posted by new members. Sure, it`ll probably make things slower, but something needs to be done! Many websites have this installed and IAP needs it as well. Members that have been on the site for a certain time can be exempt, but if you are a new member, posts should be monitored. I`m going to copy this suggestoin to Laura and if you agree you should too!! :)
