military~mommy (715.1 days ago) 1 cup water, 1 tablespoon baby wash, 1 drop of lavender oil. I put mine in a foamer bottle, worked better for me than a spray bottle.
mackiek (715.8 days ago) Danilynn, when I did cloth diapers and wipes, I did two loads a week, with both my wipes, pail liner, and diapers all at once. I`d do them every Monday and Thursday, one load each time. I`d always be running low by monday! So, that wasnt hard at all, considering Tuesday was towel day, wednesday was adult clothes day, friday was baby cloths day, and every other saturday was blankets/bedding day. So, I did 6-7 loads of laundry a week, 2 of those being diapers/wipes/pail liner.
MelissaJoanne (715.8 days ago) I wash one load of cloth wipes once a week. Not a big deal at all!
lovemyfamily (715.9 days ago) I have flannel wipes, I haven`t used them yet as she isn`t here but I have heard they work well. I will just be using water for the first while but will probably add tea tree oil and some sort of essential oil.
shesxchaotic (716.2 days ago) We currently do every other or every third day. It`s only 1 extra load for us too. We were concerned cost wise as we live in an apartment so we pay to do laundry (not much but still!) and it is WAAAAY cheaper to do cloth diapers. Only a few dollars more per month in laundry versus about $50 in disposable diapers.
T3POandR2D2 (716.2 days ago) Danilynn - you don`t wash them separately, you throw them in your pail and wash them on laundry day, for me - every 3 days. But, some women do everyday and some do longer. It`s one extra load for me, not too much at all!
danilynn (716.3 days ago) I`ve never done cloth anything (diapers or wipes). How much laundry do you do? Do you wash each wipe and diaper after every use? I would imagine so- but that just seems like a lot!
MelissaJoanne (716.3 days ago) Halved washcloths (no sewing) with a spray bottle of mostly water, with a little lavender and almond oil. I also have a giant bag of old soft tee shirts that I`m planning to chop into wipes/cloth tp.
mackiek (716.3 days ago) I only used about 8oz purified water, about 1-2 teaspoons vinegar, and then I would put a sprig of lavender in a spray bottle. The lavender and the vinegar are both naturally anti-bacterial/microbial. And after about a day the lavender made it smell SO GOOD. I made my wipes out of my hundreds of unused flannel receiving blankets, and I did not serg them.
MommyOf3But4ToBe (716.4 days ago) For homemade wipes solution i use Baby oil, Some baby bath, and water...
T3POandR2D2 (716.4 days ago) No problem, I`m pretty sure there are all sorts of wipe solution recipes out there so, try a couple different ones out to see how you like them.
shesxchaotic (716.4 days ago) Thanks! We use cloth diapers but I can`t stand having to throw out the wipes but wash the diapers. It just makes no sense when I`m doing laundry anyways!
T3POandR2D2 (716.4 days ago) I just use scrap pieces of flannel that I serged. For the solution - a couple squirts of baby oil, one drop of tea tree oil and some water, in a spray bottle.
