canadababy (715.3 days ago) Our dog used to sleep during the day on his dog bed in the living room and at night on the floor in our room, usually at the foot of the bed or the floor on my side. The odd time he would jump on the couch and snuggle with us, he was 100lb German Shepherd and we had to put him down last fall :(
marli (715.4 days ago) Our boxer sleeps on his bed on the floor in our bedroom and our cat will sleep with us for an hour or so but then he gets up and sleeps on his kitty tower in the living room. This is at night, during the day they`re all over the place =)
mommiekayla (715.4 days ago) Sooexcited-we squirted our cat with a water bottle as a kitten if she ever went into our bedroom (DH doesn`t want pet hair on our bed) so she never even steps a paw in our room. they learn quickly.
mommiekayla (715.4 days ago) Our cat sleeps in the living room in her bed or right outside our door. She also NEVER jumps on the counters or goes into our bedroom, thank goodness. Our dog usually sleeps in the living room in his bed (right next to the cats!) or sometimes they curl up together in dog`s bed. Never together in cat`s bed for some reason. =)
sooexcitedtobemommy (715.4 days ago) ive always heard its unhealthy to have your animals sleep in the same room with you... however my 3 cats and large dog all sleep with us! i really do hate it but i just dont have the heart to kick them out.. if i tried theyd scratch at the door and my dog would bark at the deer all night! but to keep them off counters we have a spray bottle with water in it and squirt them if they would jump up there!
EllaG (715.4 days ago) How did you train him not to go on the counters?? I`m forever hunting Toast off the worktops, it seems like I spend half my life wiping them down and the other half trying to get her off them. Love the name, btw! `Toast` was the name that fit for a kitten that would not leave the hearth (she likes to be toasty!)
shesxchaotic (715.4 days ago) Our cat, Garbage (haha I know. It was the first name he answered to when we got him after a week of trying out names lol) usually sleeps on the back of our couch in the living room or right outside our bedroom door. We allow him to go wherever during the night because he pretty much minds his own business. He will occasionally sleep in the nursery but he doesn`t bother any of Jack`s stuff. He sleeps by the closet door. He doesn`t get on counters or sleep on our bed.
EllaG (715.5 days ago) I`m just looking at my cats all snuggled up on the couch and I feel bad that I`m going to kick them out shortly. We let them have the run of the house at night with the exception of our room (they tend to wake us up trying to snuggle), baby`s room (goes without saying), the dining and living rooms (too many things to knock over).
