danilynn (707.7 days ago) I`ve tried the microwave ones and they get too hot for me. That`s why I was using electric. It was only on medium heat, and it was on my upper back. You guys all have good points though. I was worried about the baby too. I don`t think it raised my body temp too much-I figured it couldn`t be much worse than a hot shower.
monkeymamma (707.7 days ago) I did during pregnancy
canadababy (707.7 days ago) I had a hot water bottle. It`s only hot for a short time so you know it`s not going to be too hot for too long. I`m always nervous about stuff like that since I had a hot shower in the L&D ward and it was so hot it made my baby`s heart beat drop to dangerous levels....I quickly learned it`s not only hot tubs that are a no-no, it`s anything that can raise your body temp. Ask your OB what they think, but honestly, I wouldn`t :) try a hot water bottle or microwavable pad and maybe some ES Tylenol?
amber325 (707.7 days ago) or you can try one of those bean filled heating pads you microwave.
jeff (707.7 days ago) um.... you are NEVER supposed to SLEEP while using an electric heat pad.
KylaRaquel (707.8 days ago) I wouldn`t do it too late into the pregnancy, just in case your water randomly breaks... Water and electricity, yikes!
