My niece said all the traditional `mama` `dada` and `bye` first. However, on her first birthday, we took her out to a park to feed the ducks and she said `duck` several times. It was so cute!!

puppy, 8months old :) every time she looked at our german shepherd calender she would whisper `puppy`, it was hilarious! (we had a german shepherd at the time who she loved)

his first proper word was `ta` at 7 months, we started trying to teach him around 6 months to say `ta` for thank you when he was given something...it worked :-) he was making mamama, dada, gaga sounds as well, but they werent proper words
