Oh, and mine aren`t painful unless I have a full bladder or I`m having sciatic pain at the same time.

With my first - I started feeling them at 19 weeks. With this one - 15 weeks.

it depends on the person but the earliest I`ve heard (from friends and family) is 16 weeks. Mine started around 30 weeks. they`re not painful but they can get uncomfortable. it felt like my stomach would just get VERY tight.

They can start anytime and they`re painful for some, not painful for others (just a tightening feeling) and still others don`t feel them at all, ever. I had horrible BH in my last trimester of my last pregnancy, they were extrememly painful and they were very frequent. Once or twice a week they would be 4-8 minutes apart for hours at a time but since they didn`t get more painful or closer together they weren`t considered `real` contractions.

Different for everyone, I suppose. My friend has had them for many weeks (months, maybe?) and is due next week. She said they`ve never been very painful; just occasional tightening. When I was pregnant with my son I had very painful contractions for two days before I was dilated far enough to be officially considered `in labor` so I think those contractions would be defined as Braxton Hicks and not true labor pains--and they certainly hurt!
