amber325 (702.9 days ago) I agree tomatoes.....and herbs rosemary is pretty and very use full. Potatoes are easy to grow as well...and free just cut one in pieces and bury it!
charliebaby (703 days ago) You can actually get dwarf citrus plants for pots which produce fruit. That might be something looking into and they`re pretty too. I have a 1/2 wine barrel full of herbs - Lavender, Rosemary, Corriander, Mint, Parsley, Oregano, Basil. It`s great to be able to go out there and pick whatever you need. So far as flowers are concerned, petunias look nice in plant troughs, pansies in the cooler months, or even a tub full of sunflowers. Not the most attractive flowers during the growing stage but gorgeous cut inside!
shesxchaotic (703.4 days ago) samanthadawn- Hahaha. I was thinking tomatoes, green beans, and maybe some snap peas. Especially since I haven`t gardened in a bit! I had a huge garden growing up on a former farm near my grandparents. We always made huge gardens and had fruit trees, etc. Thanks for the help!
samanthadawn (703.4 days ago) grow tomatoes... they grow so well and you get so many off just one plant. i wouldn`t reccomend trying to grow corn though, especially in a pot... i did that last year and out of 4 corn plants i got one cob of corn, and it was only 3 inches long! it was pretty tastey tho lol
