i actually asked this questions a while ago if you want you can go on my profile and look at my polls and u will find the pillow poll. my son is 16 months and i still havent givin him a pillow...i plan to introduce one soon tho. :) also if your son seems ready for one i dont see why not. esp if he`s using his quilt as one. :)

Olivia uses 3-4 blankets and she cuddles them and lays on top of them. She is 17 months no pillows here yet. But I think when I find a cute one I will allow it :). LOTS of moms in my group of 17 month olds recently added pillows and they love them :)

We bought my DD a bed for Christmas, she was just about 12 months and we put it in her room so she could get used to it and not be afraid. At 12 months she played on it almost everyday. We bought a toddler bedding set and used a flat pillow on the bed. By 13 months she was putting herself to sleep on it! I am still in shock, but she has never looked back. She takes all her naps, and sleeps in there every night. We have never had a problem with transitioning her to a pillow!

My little guy is 14 months now and seems to like having his head on top of his quilt. I folded up a blanket and put it in his cot as a pillow and he seems to like it. It has also stopped him rolling around all over the place in his cot. Should I just go and get him a proper cot pillow or is he still too young? We also still use his motion sensor monitor when he sleeps.
