MommyOf3But4ToBe (701.8 days ago) I did the same thing once, my son had a very high temp, i took him to the er only to have him go from looking like a limp noodle to having a ton of energy in ther er... i feel for you. Turns our that he had an ear infection, so i am really glad i went. I would rather go and find out it was nothing than wait it out nad find out it was serious... You did the right thing by following your instincts hun... EditDelete
jenakers (701.9 days ago) If something had REALLY been wrong, you would have been the hero. Trust your instincts. My child has miraculously gotten better when we have gone to the doctor. EditDelete
charliebaby (702 days ago) I think with a 4 year old they have no motives to `fake` illnesses, now if he was a 14 year old and had a Maths test the next day then that`s another story! LOL! I`m sure you reacted the way most women in your sitation would have. EditDelete
military~mommy (702 days ago) Oh Hunny, we are mommy`s, it is our job to worry about and do everything in our power to protect our babies, even from viruses! My DD had just started running and she tripped over her feet and did a header into a book shelf. Her forehead had a gash that wouldn`t stop bleeding and I rushed her to the ER, the second we walk in she stops screaming, smiles and waves at the nurse in the window. She calmed down, let them clean her up, played peekaboo with the doctor who decided she did not need stitches, gave her a band aid, and told me not to worry about rushing her in since she DID have blood all over her shirt and down her neck... Proof that I wasn`t comepletly insane!!! Lol, it is fine to panic with your little one, their lives are so precious and in our hands. EditDelete
EmmaReed84 (702 days ago) Last night my 4 yr old just became not well all of a sudden. He did not eat his dinner which is very unusual for him he just sat there not moving staring at it. DH put him in the shower and he cried saying he was cold, so I got him straight out and ready for bed. He got right in to bed (the light was already off) I got his milk and turned the light on and he started screaming at me to turn the light off because he eyes hurt. I took his temp and it was over 100. He was able to move his (I asked him to put his chin on his chest) he was able to sit up and he didn`t have a rash. I called the emergancy doc and took him to the out of hours surgery. He has a viral infection but he perked up in the docs office and the light had stopped hurting his eyes. I felt so silly because everything I said he had, went away after the medicine. Everyone said not to feel stupid because its natural, I just can`t help feeling like one of them mums who rush their kids to A&E when there child cuts their little finger lol. EditDelete
