I`ve never heard of abstaining from sex during pregnancy unless you`re high-risk or something???... did your doc tell you it isn`t safe or something? I`m telling you now, unless you`ve some medical problem, it`s perfectly safe and good for you to have sex all through pregnancy!!!!

Yeah, no reason to not have sex... Unless your doctor says you can`t, you can have sex throughout your pregnancy until your water breaks.

ps- I did have a MC and it was not caused by sex... doctor told me MC do not happen by having sex (alone). of course if you have something wrong (like placenta previa) and you do have sex, then yes that could cause an MC but it`s cuz of the PP, not cuz of sex.

I had sex thru out my whole pregnancy and I was fine and so was baby

From what I understand miscarriages are caused by problems with the baby :( it`s sad, but it`s nature`s way of saying they probably wouldn`t do that well if the pregnancy continued. Unless you`re high risk for something I wouldn`t think sex causes you to have a miscarriage. And really, you`re never `out of the woods` completely to have problems during pregnancy. But..if it makes you feel more comfortable to wait, then it`s okay to wait to have sex. Maybe just talk to your doctor about it, about your specific circumtances :)

Unless your dr/midwife told you not to due to earlier issues.... I`m not sure why your abstaining.....
