oh i hear you! such a hassle to go anywhere..especially in winter! we live in Minnesota, so for 6 months out of a year you have to put layers of clothes on yourself and the baby, and of course the baby hates it. mine is 2 years old, he throws a fit every time he even sees his jacket! then it`s a struggle to get everything in and out of the car, stroller, diaper bag, and plus it`s freezing outside so it just makes everything so difficult!

I have 4 kids 5 and under. We go out nearly everyday because being at home too much can make everyone miserable. It is hard getting them all ready, doing 4 seat belts up, getting out the double stroller, etc but its worth it and we all are happier when we get home. Its truly a treat to only take just one or two children out! Next time you want to go out but then think its a big hassle, think of me taking 4 kids out with no help, everyday...lol. Oh and I use the sleepy wrap with my youngest as its fast and convenient.

Why do you remove the carseat? I havent removed mine since before my son was born. If I`m going somewhere and he`s due for a sleep, I`ll take the pram but if its just a quick trip, then a trolley or just carry him on my hip.

I hold my babies. If theyre asleep Ill leave them in the car seat and attach it to a cart. I dont use the big huge stroller that the car seat came with-Its too much.

My son hated his carseat for the first 6 months so I used my Ergo carrier ALOT. He wasn`t much for the stroller either but he would be fine in the Ergo for hours. Now he`s 17 months old and its so easy to go places with him. He still won`t sit in a stroller long so I`ve taught him to hold my hand and he just walks beside me everywhere now or sits in a shopping cart.

I have always used a sling. We never lugged around the carseat, we just took him out and put him in his sling... No stroller, either.

I pretty much just go to stores that have shopping carts (to avoid the hassle of getting my stroller out)...and park right next to the cart rack outside. I try to make it QUICK, especially since it was cold out. Maybe once it gets nicer I will venture out more. It`s a lot harder having two and going out also. I go out way less and shopping trips aren`t a priority like they used to be. I LOVE shopping too.

I`m with jeff. We stopped lugging the carseat into stores within the last month or so because our 6 month old isn`t falling asleep all the time like he used to so if he`s awake anyways why bother right? We`ve never used the stroller because it`s big and he hates it haha. We started with trying a sling and then a wrap and now we also have a mei tai since it`s getting warmer :)

May I suggest trying wrapping her to you.... much lighter than a stroller. and easier to carry :)
