Pregnancy-poll poll How much does a typical 3d/4d ultrasound cost? I have looked it up on the internet and everything and cant find a very good answer. So i was just wondering if any of you ladies who have had one could tell me about what you paid for one, and if insurance covers it.

At least $100 depending on the type of package you want to order

Don`t really know, my medical insurance paid for most of it. Only have to pay a contribution.

i live in canada it was 100$ for a pink or blue testing (to tell me the gender) it was an optional US so medical didnt cover it. It was also only 10 minutes long.

125 for a 30minute US 3d and 4d with nursery music in the background, a ton of glossy color pics, some black and white ones, and the cd filled with all the shots. Totally worth it, Ive gotten them 4 times. Id pay 250 if they asked lol Adorable keepsake and insurance doesnt cover it bc its totally not medically necessary.

Here they are not covered by insurance and like the other ladies said cost around $150

Depends where you are at! Out here in southern cali you can get them as cheap as 45$ in san diego and then packages up to 200$

the cheapest package here (new-brunswick canada) is around 150$ and insurance does not cover it unless it's for actual medical reasons.

As far as a I know insurance does not cover it as it is a non-medical ultrasound and only for your entertainment. With my daughter I got a package deal so 2 ultrasounds each session came with a dvd and 5 printed photos as well as a CD full of pictures and that package was $325.00 (Canadian). With my son we only went once and it was $175 and again it came with a DVD printed photos and a CD full of photos. The place I went too is called `UC BABY`. I have friends and family who have also had 3/D ultrasounds done and they were in the same price range. It was a great experience and worth every cent ;o)

I had one done last pregnancy.. it wasn`t through a dr`s office but more of a specialty place that 4d so you could see what your baby looked like. It was expensive. After it was all said and done I think it was around $150.

  1. OMG, I posted on FB (in reponse to a suggestion made to me on From Our House To Yours) that I didn`t like a business because the items were very expensive and my friend got a bad deal there and the owner is threatening to sue me! Have you ever heard of such a thing? I actually paid a consultation fee and my lawyer told me that she was `absurd with possible mental health problems.` I am protected by the fisrt ammendment to express my honest opinions freely where I choose, but he said she can take it to court(because people can TRY to sue over anything) anyway and that it might cost me legal bills. We will both be out a lot of money because she couldn`t possibly win. Can you believe that? FML! First my records and now this! I hope my baby isn`t a bad luck baby. I see people not recommending or recommending businesses all the time on FB!
  2. Is SaraKelly still on here? I know she was a mod but I didn`t see her post in the previous Who Is A Mod poll...
  3. ANGRY!!!! My jenakers account is missing my ENTIRE journal from my high risk pregnancy and my letthisonestick account for my 7 month old is completely gone along with my journal. I AM SICK OVER IT!
  4. I`ve re-thought the moderating of the member-postings. How does this sound? Let`s change it to usage, rather than length of time as a member. Say your first 10 or 20 polls, questions and pictures need to be approved by a Mod or something like that. Someone posting the racist polls and adding the kiddie porn is unlikely to participate as a normal member. Once you are verified as a regular member you`re no longer monitored.
  5. How long did it take you to get pregnant after you got your IUD (Mirena) out?
  6. Twilight valentines for 7 year olds... appropriate or not? DD received a valentine with a very... sultry smoldery Edward on the front and I was just kind of surprised that anyone would buy those for 7 year olds? I know I`m on the conservative side in general on those kinds of things, but this really surprised me!
  7. My daughter is almost 5 months and 3 weeks ago my hair started falling out. I know it`s normal but how long did it last for you?
  8. With all the issues going on with the site maybe we need an updated list on Mods. Obviously Laura is the one to go to but if there is a concern and it needs immediate attention and a Mod is online it may be good to know who is who so you can reach out to them. Mods, can you please post here so we know who you are. (Esp since some profiles names had to be changed because of recent log on issues)
  9. Anyone wanna try http://parentspuzzlepieces.spruz.com/ a free community site I just made? Let me know if you want the password and would want to help add things to it!!
  10. I think with all the posting issues IAP needs to appoint someone to verify all pictures, polls, questions, etc that are posted by new members. Sure, it`ll probably make things slower, but something needs to be done! Many websites have this installed and IAP needs it as well. Members that have been on the site for a certain time can be exempt, but if you are a new member, posts should be monitored. I`m going to copy this suggestoin to Laura and if you agree you should too!! :)
