Str8 As (697.4 days ago) I can use both hands, but I think I may have one of each..I think my 3 yo and 2 yo are left handed.
domsmom2009 (697.4 days ago) My son is 8 months old and it seems like he`s more comfortable with his right hand but seems to be doing very well with his left as well. My fiance is ambidexterous (can use both hands) and I`m a righty so time will tell :)
canadababy (697.4 days ago) I`ve read after 12months it`s possible to notice a preference but my DD is almost 14months and I still can`t tell.
Rubes (697.5 days ago) My stepson is 6 years old and they just `assumed` he was right handed `cause he was drawn to his right more. However, he seems to be more comfortable using his left but nobody seems to encourage this?? Just being insightful. :-D
SarahLJ (697.5 days ago) My son is 14 months old and switches between both hands still I just him in make his own mind up really. He does seem kind of awkward using his right hand and seems to prefer the left but I am not going to decide whether he has a preference for left or right yet at this stage either. His auntie is left handed.
yorkc39 (697.5 days ago) 6 months or less is not accurate, i`ve heard babies may prefer one hand, then switch, use both hands, and can switch preferences as they get older, so it isn`t good to preference them so young, let them choose and try both hands
charliebaby (697.5 days ago) I`m wondering the same. My son (13 months) has a definite preference for his left hand but I think it`s too early to tell, he still uses his right but it looks very awkward and he usually then switches to left. He`s also climbing a lot and always lifts his left leg first so I`m thinking he`ll be a lefty - I`m a lefty...
