I also have a surface peircing in the nape of my neck, snakebites, navel, 5 in each ear and stretched lobes. Good to see a lot of other moms rocking the peitced look :)

i got into a CRAZY piercing phase for a few years... at one point i had 23-24 piercings??? at that time, the craziest piercing was the corset piercing i had on my back. eight rings down the sides of my back that i would thread with lace. hurt like HELL and couldnt wear proper clothing EVER, ended up having fiance take the rings out for me... now it looks like my back lost a fight with a staple gun. LOL

I had 4 surface piercings. The nape of my neck, one in the center of my lower back, and 2 angled from the center one on my back. I also had that web under my tongue pierced horizontally, my septum, and both nostrils. I`ve taken them out over time. I`ve never had one reject but I hate when I have something and then 5+ people thinks it`s cute or cool and go get it done. Lol. I still have 5 in each ear though. 2 lobe, cartilage, rook, tragus in each.

Mine aren`t necessarily crazy...but I had my labret pierced about 11 years ago but stopped wearing it in 2003 because I had joined the Navy. I`ve had my tongue pierced for about 7 years now. I could get away with that one in the military only because I don`t talk where you can see the piercing. A lot of people are surprised when they find out I have it done because they`ve never seen it before. I feel very naked without it though so I don`t think I could ever remove it for good. I`ve had to remove it for surgeries but it goes right back in once I get home.

I also had a surface piercing in between my cleavage but had to take it out when I was bf my son since he`d touch it and it was always infected!

I had my rook done (its a part of the ear but I can`t explain it) you can google it and go to images to see a pic of it. The ring fell out right after I had my DD tho and I couldn`t get it back in so I think it eventually closed up. I won`t get it redone tho...it hurt like HELL and took forever to heal! lol. I also had my belly button done but I took it out when I got preg and didn`t worry about putting it back in.

I have my nose, and 3 `downstairs`. I had my nipples done, but had to take them out to breastfeed almost 2 yrs ago...Ive become very attached to them and even as I get older, it would make me sad to take them out.

I have a 1 inch bar - small 1.2mm balls on each end piercing the cartiledge at the top of my ear in a diagnal... I also have the left and right-hand side of my lip pierced with small 1.2mm balls in - very subtle. In the past I have had my septum, nose, eyebrow, tongue pierced and I also had a labret piercing, though never wear it. I never had any of these in at the same time as it would look tooooo much.. but I do wear my side lip piercings and my ear piercing.. My eyebrow and labret are still open, but I never wear them.

I went through a huge piercing phase but now I stick with tattoos. Ive had my septum, nose, nipples, belly button, tongue, same place you have your ears along with 8 on each ear, and frenulum (the attaching thing under your tongue). Theyre all out now.

i had the surface pierced under my belly button[kinda like the bar on the neck but on the tummy]. it was way back before babies when i had a cute little tummy hehe but i took it out. its a hard one to heal. but i loved it and if i had that same tummy i would consider it again:) Very cute! i`d be too afraid of that spot..was it painful??

mrsjmickens1 (933.3 days ago)

  3. Career conundrum... Opinions valued (particularly from teachers - but I would value advice from anyone). Details inside.
  4. At what age do you think it`s appropriate to drop your child off at a sporting training (not a school sport, a sports club such as soccer, footy, tennis, netball club etc), and come at the end to pick them up?

  7. Bookworms - is anyone reading the new Khaled Hosseini book `And the Mountains Echoed`? I pre-ordered it on kindle which should have arrived today (I haven`t checked yet) but was wondering if anyone would be interested in a group read?
  8. HELP - my 3 year old daughter is developing a phobia to fluff! I feel responsible, I have a ridiculous phobia of bees and wasps - to the point it hinders my ability to enjoy playing out in the garden during the summer, it`s detrimental. My kids have picked up on this and are sh*t scared of bees and wasps, but with my daughter it was soon spiders, then ants and now, tiny black bits of fluff - which she finds all over; on her pillow etc. It`s genuine terror in her face as she screams she can see them moving and they`re `going to get her` or `bite her`. What do I do? She`s old enough to be reasoned with that they don`t move and we pick most of them off before bedtime, but she wakes in the night and starts crying that `The Fluff`s coming...!!` How can I help her? Do you think this is just a phase or do you think it`s worth seeking some sort of external, professional help to nip this in the bud? I HATE the thought of passing on my phobias and anxieties to my children - it`s no way to live to be a constant worrier about things beyond your control and I;ve suffered with anxiety and panick attacks for nearing 6 years now and can`t ever remember just feeling `normal` and `well` - I can`t remember my life before my first panick attack. This is NOT what I want for my children...
  9. On Facebook I saw one of those like pictures, a mom who sent her child to school for days wearing out of style `ugly` clothes because she was bullying another girl about her clothes. Mom`s yourselves, what do you think of this type of punishment?
  10. Can anyone relate? My 4 year old is making all sorts of amazing connections which is great that he`s thinking about the world, but some of his thoughts are quite deep. He`s a natural born worrier (gets that from me!) and I try to protect him from as much as I can but there`s things that can`t be avoided. Ie, ever since Easter, he`s been plagued with fear about getting holes in him like Jesus (he learnt it at Kindy). Well just this evening he came out with `Why do you and Margo (Grandma) have holes in your ears like Jesus? Did you get your ears nailed to a cross?` He`s also obsessed with the fear of death.
