nicole8 (789.2 days ago) I still cut all of my children`s meat up and my oldest is ten. It is quicker, safer, and less mesy if I do it. I cut most of my four year olds food up (waffles, pancakes, pasta, etc.),I definitely still cut up my 21 month old`s food. My mother-in-law gave her a grape the other day and she got choked really bad and it scared me to death!
MadysonsMommy (789.3 days ago) Maddy`s 6 and I still cut up most of her food. Not fruit or vegs or anything like that but I still cut up almost all her meat, any kind of pasta, pancakes or waffles, etc.
blondie9504 (790 days ago) My stepkids still scare me with a knife. They weren`t raised like me, so I still cut steak or whatever I have to cut with a sharp knife and they are 13, 12, and 10 years old. Sad I know but they really don`t have much concept of the whole it could hurt you severly thing. They can`t even cook anything by themselves yet, as to where I was a full blown chef basically by the time I could stand on a chair because Dad was always at work and Mom was wherever, so I fended for myself or starved. I plan to teach my DD early how to do it safely, without losing a finger. On another note, Dad was cutting frozen hamburgers apart with a knife and cut his finger off at the age of 35, so is it really ever safe lol? I remember grabbing a bucket of ice, a finger, and a towel and loading Dad in the car for the ER lol they sewed it back on but he had to have several surgeries for it to work again and it doesn`t work right to this day.
missyv28 (pink) (790.1 days ago) I still cut the steaks but everything else I stopped cutting at 3 :)
