hazebeyond (720.5 days ago) We used Bonjela, which sounds like orajel with both our boys, but with our second, we tried an Amber Teething Necklace. It sounds a bit hocus-pocus-y, but we believe it really did work. The amber is supposed to secrete some kind of oil into the skin, which soothes the pain. It`s better to start using it early so they`re not tugging on it. Dunno - some parents are worried about the necklace breaking, or baby gnawing on it (it`s not supposed to be that loose), or having something around the baby`s neck, but I think it`s up to how comfortable the parent feels about it.
luvin colton (720.5 days ago) they havea natural oragel now with no benzocaine etc but you can also give him a baby sized silver spoon, my son loves it and wont use the teethers at all . also you can put frozen peas or bananas in those mesh eating bag things for babies
Mary-K (720.6 days ago) the net thing is called a nibbler or something like that and is meant for small babies but we still use it for stuff like this and my little guy is 3
Mary-K (720.6 days ago) I never use orajel cause it also numbs the tongue and my little guy had a really hard time with that. we use Camilia and it works great. it is all natural too so that`s a big plus. there is also this thing that I can`t remember the name of but it is a handle with a little net on it that you unscrew and can add stuff into the net and screw it back on and baby can chew on it without chocking on the food...well we put a frozen strawberry in it and let him chew on that...it helps numb and gives him a treat.
peytonsmummy (720.6 days ago) Thanks, I was told not to use orajel from his doctor. It is full of sugar and can cause it to take longer to teeth. Plus its 4+ months.
babyelijahdec2010 (720.6 days ago) rub his gums or baby orajel (or the generic equivelant)
Bumpermom (720.6 days ago) In the vitamin section of the grocery store there are these little tablets for teething babies... They work WONDERS and they are dissolvable. I can`t remember the name tho... It may sound nasty but i`ve heard that ALOT of mom`s use the product called `anal ease` from slumber parties inc. because it numbs better than oragel...
