My son has got bug bites all over him, at least thats what they look like, but on his lower back there are some bites that have open heads and they look infected. He does itch them, but they don`t bother him too bad as he only seems to itch when I am changing his clothes and he doesn`t lift his shirt of pull his pants down to itch himself. Should I just keep putting itch cream on them or should I take him to the doctor since some of them are open? These bites are mostly on his back, sides, and front but very scarce on his arms or legs. jmcbrown2002 (668.7 days ago) I just went thru this with my daughter and took her to urgent care because one of hers was so swollen. I asked them 100 questions so I wouldnt have to go thru it again. Basically she said they dont do anything for them, keep them clean and use triple antibiotic ointment, also to give benadryl orally for the itching (she said the benadryl cream does nothing for it) So, I would not waste your time and/or money on a doctor visit unless u just want to. My concern was if it was a spider bite but she also let me know there is nothing they can do for those either. (unless it is super bad i assume) Good luck, its no fun!!

xolilangel785 (669 days ago) Hey.. I just did a poll on this!! Check out my page.. I have like the same thing all over my back.. I went to the dr. and was told they are bug bites but I really don`t know.. They also look like white heads and they have pus in them and are raised and hurt and are itchy.. Its horrible.. They just told me to put anti-itch cream on them and take benadryl if needed. I am miserable because of them! I hope your son gets better soon
