Baby-poll poll I am currently a SAHM.... And, well, I am BORED out of my MIND!! When my LO is awake, its okay, but otherwise... Jeeeeeez... Are there any other ladies who feel the same way?? Sometimes its like I am just floating about. My SO works from half past seven am to half past eleven pm, so as you can imagine, my days are LOONG. Any thoughts ladies? I`d like to know what you do all day!! Hugs.

Maybe pick up a craft or excersizing you can do when the kids are napping?? I am not a stay at home mom, but that is what I would love to do if I had some time. What about couponing/making and selling crafts/ or even reading. Those are my best ideas lol.

When ever my DD is napping I either 1- Nap as well (I am however 39 weeks pregnant so Im exhausted) or 2- Clean up the multiple messes she makes during her waking hours. The former takes up most of my time and Im never short on stuff to do between making meals, cleaning up after meals, tidying up and etc....

I`m also a new SAHM. So far I`ve been addicted to cleaning the apartment lol. My place is spotless all day long. I also go on to the computer a lot (especially IAP). I also watch tv too but there is never anything good on tv during the day..just in the evenings. I`m starting to make it a habit to go on a nice long walk (for at least an hour). On somedays when I`m really bored and don`t feel like cleaning, I`ll go rent a movie on pay-per-view. I also have pictures to print as I`m working on making a photo album for my son (I`m forever taking pics of him lol). I haven`t picked up a book recently to read because I know that I will have a hard time putting it down and will get frustrated at my son for waking up lol. I have been considering going back to work part time...just 10-15hrs per week.

It`s all about hobbies and enriching yuorself. My kid is four so I am not really in a predicament to be bored. But when she goes to school and I have a tiny one I am sure I will be back in your boat then! I study foreign language and read. I try to stay off the internet but I had a bit of a binge a few days ago and am recovering! LOL! Reading, learning a new skill or even take a correspondence course. Anything to keep your growing as a person would work!

I am a new sahm mom and find myself in the opposite predicament...i can`t decide from the bevee of things to do when they kids are napping....it`s between reading, catching up on dvr shows, crocheting, embroderiy, words puzzles, housework...not by choice but by needs to be done..catch up on iap or fb, paint my nails, there is soo much to do

I agree with Leanna&kourtne! I try to take DD to the park everyday, we play, show her books and all that then when she naps, I always have tons to do, laundry, cleaning, make diner for when my fiancé comes home from work.. there`s definitely not enough time in a day.... :-P

kourtne (471 days ago)
Yea I`m with leannas mummy theres actually not enough time in the day! I would take up on some hobbies that you couldn`t do otherwise if you were working. I knit, read or watch my favorite foreign dramas. also, since I didn`t finish college my husband have loads of books and I just open the pages and start learning. you can exercise, take the kids out.go to play groups and meet other mothers. there`s so much! I will admit I use to be bored also but that was b/c I was use to working and didn`t know how to use my time but believe me you can get creative when kept alone lol!

lol wow im also a SAHM but i`m far from bored. my daughter constantly wants to play and doesnt nap for long enough for me to do anything. I usually take her for a walk or shopping to get out the house for me and her, at other times im doing the house work & other daily duties.

I was a SAHM for about 10 months. I would clean, go on play dates and then when all that was said and done, I`d play farmville on facebook lol I got into reading again and a few shows as well. after about 8 months I was so fed up I started looking for work again and after 10 months, I just went back to my old job lol
