My son Ivan is obsessed with Spongebob...I let him watch it every day. That is the only show he asks to watch. He will watch other things if I cant get Spongebob on but he doesn`t `care` about any other show or movie...I just limit the amount of time he watches...I bought him Spongebob books and he even has a Spongebob bedroom! Be glad your child is obsessed with Aladdin lol Spongebob is so annoying! We are on 2 years with this love of Spongebob lol

My son has had a few obsessions, curious george was one. Seems the easiest was to `burn him out`..as in let him watch it as much as he wants. I found fighting it was futile..lol..Good luck:)

LOL. Thanks, guys. So, this morning, straight after breakfast, she was like `I want to watch princess, mum`, and basically brought the laptop to me (all my Disney is stored on the broken laptop that can only play films now lol), so I went through the list, giving her a choice. She said she wanted `princess unicorn` (who was a giraffe accoring to her last week, but whatever haha), from The Last Unicorn, she watched the opening credits, then started screaming for Aaladin again. The decided she didn`t want that, she I tried all the others. Lion King was a massive no no from the beginning, The Little Mermaid she only got upto the dolphins at the beginning, Beauty and the Beast, she watched the Bonjour song, then decided she wanted Princess Jasmine, then she was like `princess unicorn`, then she kept asking for Princess Jasmine, but I told her `enough is enough now, you will watch that, when it finishes, I will pick the next film`, she was OK, but NOW she`s saying `Mummy, Arun doesn`t want to watch princess` (he`s 6 months old). Don`t know weather to laugh or cry really. LOL.

haha don`t worry your not the only one with the same problem, my daughter is obsessed with the lion king. After countless hours of watching it I went and got the second one so she rotates between the two movies, I know aladin has the sequel return of jafar but also with my daughter I let her choose the movie the first time and then if she wants to watch it again I tell her it`s my choice and sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt. I asked my daughter why she loved it so much and she said the animals in it so I also say sometimes Oh I know a great animal show do you want to watch that. Again sometimes it works sometimes it doesn`t. Good luck I hope you find your sanity again.

My daughter is about 30 months old and suddenly developed an obsession with princesses. I have many old Disney films, and keep trying to evoke an interest, but she is obsessed with Aaladin. She wants it played continuously. I`m going mad. LOL. Help??!!

  1. I`ve just opened up my facebook newsfeed this morning and there`s a whole bunch of photos of Saturday night antics. First there was one from my 19 year old cousin with her and her friends (looking thrashed out, dirty, bits hanging out of places they shouldn`t and just overall skanky), and another from a friend of mine who is 15 years older on a rare night out with her school friends (who are all mums) who looked gorgeous, fresh, clean, sexy yet classy (let the clothes rather than the skin do the talking - ie you don`t need your ass and boobs hanging out to show off a nice little figure) Is it just me, or are young girls looking thrashier than women in their 20s, 30s and 40s?
  2. Do you or someone you know raise their now school aged child with attachment parenting (baby wearing, never ever allow the baby to cry it out, cosleeping, baby let snacks and feedings, etc) 8f so, how does the school aged child/ren compare to their peers?
  3. You can only have three of the four when buying a house. Which do you sacrifice?
