Born & Birth stories

Your baby's crown-to-rump length is approximately 4 inches and she now weighs approximately 1.75 ounces. Your baby is close to the size of a softball and you can easily tell that you are pregnant now! If you wear maternity clothes or a swimming suit, other people will be able to tell that you are pregnant also. You can probably feel your uterus about three to four inches below your bellybutton.

If you do not yet have a due date, your doctor can easily determine an accurate due date based on the measurement of your baby's head. This is done by an ultrasound examination. Your doctor will be discussing upcoming tests and procedures with you around this time that are able to diagnose or confirm birth defects and other abnormalities.

Your baby is growing at an amazing rate and looking more like a human every day. Because your baby's skin is so thin, you are able to see blood vessels through the skin. Lanugo hair covers your baby's body, but it will be gone when your baby is born. The hair on the eyebrows and head continues to grow. Some babies are born with little or no hair and others have a head full of hair! If you have an ultrasound at this point, you might be able to see your baby sucking its thumb. Even though the eyes continue to move to the front of the face, they are still widely separated. Your baby's ears look like normal ears and continue to develop externally. The bones that have already formed continue to get harder and retain calcium. The baby is very mobile and flexible at this point. She can bend her arms at the elbows and wrists and she can also make a fist with her hands.

going to pick up some maternity clothes today, I've been rubberbanding my pants & my shirts are getting way to small. you can definitely tell theres a baby in there now :) im off to week 16.

Had a DR Appt yesterday. The Doc said my Uterus is almost all the way up to my belly button..im deffinately showing! The baby's heart rate was 160 again. Everything is fine..she doesnt seem concerned that I have lost 16 lbs and have not put any of it back on! Well this is my last day in week 15..man it seems like this pregnancy is going by S..O S...L...O...W...L...Y! LoopyLou--I LOVE Mason..we are gonna name ours that if it is a boy! etrocks--I had Jocelyn picked but the hubby didnt like it...see we just cant agree..for this baby's sake i hope it is a boy or it will never be named..lol

I like mason or cole for a boy. Can't think of any girls names i like but i'm convinced i'm having a boy. Question to mums of kids already did anyone else have no labour pains with any of there little ones? I didnt know i was in labour with last baby until 15 mins before she was born, I'm about to be moving further away from the hospital and am worried about not knowing again but midwifes don't take my worries seriously.thinking about just having a home birth now since i prob won't make it to hospital anyway.

yay 15 weeks today. i feel great, just got over the flu. my son is in such a good mood this morning he is listening to music, eating his toast and dancing. with a big cheeky grin on his face. (he is 15 months old) i think he must know we are taking him out the house to a castle today as he has been stuck in the house for so many days as hubby and i aint been feeling well for the last couple of days. well hope everyone else is well. :)

I know I don't drink enough water not because I don't want to but I can't leave it out or son will try to drink it and pour it all over him self. I guess I am lazy to keep getting up every few minutes.

I keep reading all these comments on names 7 my hubby & I can't even come up with one. We thought for a girl maybe Esme(not from twiltight-liked it b4), Eden or Jocelyn. for a boy maybe wyatt, felix, or liam. none of these names (except esme for me) are really growing on us. with our first I knew his name b4 I knew it was a boy. I always said if I had a boy it would be Elliot.By the way have any of you ladies looked or have a good dbl stroller? I kinda want one that converts to a sit & stand.

hey ladies..be careful with drinking water..I know our doctors tell us 'drink lots of water' but what they forget to mention is that you CAN drink TOO MUCH water! I did with my daughter and it makes you loose Potassium through your Urine wich is harmfull to Mother and Baby! My daughter was due on April 11th and my Doctor put me in the hospital on April 1st becuase of the dangerously high levels of potassium on my urin...after getting everything straightened out she induced me and I had my little girl on 4-5-06! So just be careful!

Gotta love modern science... had an amnio yesterday. found out today that our baby does not have down's syndrome and that we're having a girl! already have a boy, so i was kinda hoping for a girl. my mom is already ready to go buy more baby clothes! her name will be kaylan (that would have been our first's name if he had been a girl).

why can't I send my husband out to get food and he come back with it right? He never listens or reads even when I write it down. This really pisses me off especially that I am pregnant. He got me a burger with onion sauce mayo, ketchup, american and swiss cheese. I hate cheese on this places burgers he knows that. He didn't even order the right burger. What is wrong with him. Then he gets mad and says I always complain but he does not listen. SOrry for venting plus I am sick today and that burger makes me wanna puke.

Before I got pregnant it was 8-10...the only reason that started to take place is because I passed a kidney stone about 1 year ago and OMG, I never ever want to experience that ever again!!! I would rather go through labor again than a kidney stone!! That taught me a lesson =)

step-oldnavy def. has a better selection online. I probably would buy more but since I stay at home don't need that many. Today is a rough day. I think I am going to try to sleep off this sick feeling. Commongoal- wow I am impressed with 10-12 glasses a day of water. I try to drink as much as I can but hard. I need to do better and it would probably help me feel better.

My doctor said the same thing to me about drinking a lot of water, since I've been suffering with severe headaches. It does help, although I think there are days where there's nothing to do to get rid of them!

mummmytwice: I was just reading week 14 and they are complaining of headaches too. My Doctor says... ''Drink lots of water, lots of water''. She tells me it helps with the headaches and it does miracles for your body and the baby's overall. Meaning it is really good for you both. I drink about 10-12 glasses a day and if I sleep too long I get headaches, meaning I have gone too long without water. If you are already doing the water thing...I'm sorry, I really hope they go away soon because I know they are more than a pain in the head!

Target has some cute dresses and stuff like that. As far as Christmas shopping, I haven't even begun yet!! AAAHHH!!! lol

I am so sick today not sure if it is just the pregnancy or eating subway last night. Don't think I can eat there for along time now. Anyone done any Christmas shopping? I am almost done with my son. I have a Dr appt today..just a routine check to listen to the heartbeat and for me to ask the doctor a million questions! lol I may even go buy some maternity clothes since I wont have my kiddos with me....it is Soooo hard to shop for clothes when i have them because i have to take them both in the dressing room with me and my 6yr old boy giggles when I have my shirt off. (bra on)

Well today is my last day in week 15... time is going by pretty good!!! I have a Dr's appointment today YAY.. and I get to book my next u/s today CANT WAIT! I hope it is in the next 2 to 3 weeks... i really want to know what we are having i pray for another little girl but will be happy with what ever i get ! I have a girl and boy already! Last day for me in week 15!!! Been reading everyones name ideas...if we have a girl I think we've agreed on Charleigh Marie. My hubbys name is Charles and my middle is Marie. As for a boy we are clueless. We already have a son who we named after hubbys dad and my brother. So I guess we're hoping for a girl so we don't have to stress! Took the intelligender test and it said a girl so we'll see how accurate it is!!

My cousin just had a baby girl and named her Caitrin (pronounced KAY-trin) and it's really growing on me. Thought I'd throw it out there... :) Also, there is a great baby name website called nymbler.com. You can choose the names that you like and it will generate other names that kinda go with that name. So I put my son's name in and a couple of other names that I like and it generated this whole list of similar names. Check it out!

I mean, seriously when I met people and they say thier son's name is Caleb, I'm like 'How cool!' Use the name if you like it!
