Your baby's crown-to-rump length is approximately 4 inches and she now weighs approximately 1.75 ounces. Your baby is close to the size of a softball and you can easily tell that you are pregnant now! If you wear maternity clothes or a swimming suit, other people will be able to tell that you are pregnant also. You can probably feel your uterus about three to four inches below your bellybutton.

If you do not yet have a due date, your doctor can easily determine an accurate due date based on the measurement of your baby's head. This is done by an ultrasound examination. Your doctor will be discussing upcoming tests and procedures with you around this time that are able to diagnose or confirm birth defects and other abnormalities.
Your baby is growing at an amazing rate and looking more like a human every day. Because your baby's skin is so thin, you are able to see blood vessels through the skin. Lanugo hair covers your baby's body, but it will be gone when your baby is born. The hair on the eyebrows and head continues to grow. Some babies are born with little or no hair and others have a head full of hair! If you have an ultrasound at this point, you might be able to see your baby sucking its thumb. Even though the eyes continue to move to the front of the face, they are still widely separated. Your baby's ears look like normal ears and continue to develop externally. The bones that have already formed continue to get harder and retain calcium. The baby is very mobile and flexible at this point. She can bend her arms at the elbows and wrists and she can also make a fist with her hands.

This is our 7th (2 are angel babies). We are not sure if we are done or not. This one will be 7 yrs behind our youngest. It might be kind of lonely for them as our others leave home so we might have one more. Who knows. :~)

Bella this is my third pregnancy and my fourth child (had twins) this baby factory will be closing right after baby comes out four is plenty we have truely been blessed and I pregnant what seems forevr (my oldest is 3) and I am ready to move on the chapter in my life where I am not pregnant (not a fan of being pregnant just love the end result when baby comes out) and not having to worry about getting pregnant =)

nic.cu-- I found out that this one is a girl at 14 weeks 3 days and they were very confident. I saw a suzie with my own eyes. :) & I found out with my son when I was 15 weeks along. I'd be fairly confident that it's a boy :)

We had our ultrasound on this past Monday and they are pretty sure it is a boy!! They saw a penis from many different angles but don't want to say for sure because it is early. My four year old son was there and said 'ohhhhh.....mommy it's a boy...you're in trouble!!' it was so cute!!! Have any of you had the tech say they aren't sure because it is too early? I am due July 31

I don't really stress the weight cuz I tend to eat less the last 2 months when I'm pregnant. I feel like the bigger the baby gets, the less appetite I have. My stomach feels smashed like it's in my throat. Both my pregnancies I gained like 5lbs that last trimester. And last time I was 8 & 9 months pregnant during the summer (July & August). I was so hot! my diet was water, fruit, yogurt, watermelon & edanime beans for dinner. I gained hardly nothing. I've gained 10 lbs so far and if I gain another 10 to 15 between now and July I'm ok with that.

I too have gained weight (about 8-10 lbs.). Not really sure how much bc my scale is kind of wacky. But I've also been in maternity clothes since 5 wks. Its my 7th pregnancy so I think my body just really knows what to do at this point :-). And im not a big person normally. Theres a pic on my profile of me at 12 wks and i already look 6 or 7 mos. Ive kind of slowed down a bit though so hopefully i wont be enormous at the end.

Zozboz, i get heart palpatations and have with every pregnancy. Its normal according to my research and my midwife. I hate them though. They take my breath away and make me feel kind of panicky. I have noticed that when i drink plenty of water, i dont have them nearly as much.

I have lost 1 and a half stone since I found out I was pregnant. I follow slimming world which here in England is fully endorsed by the royal midwife association, it really has made me eat a lot healthier than my other pregnancies that's for sure! I gained 5 stone in my 1st pregnancy and my eating habits were awful!!

Good morning ladies! I'm so jealous too of you that haven't gained any weight. I was holding steady at only 5.5lbs gain, and WHAM - all of a sudden up to 8lbs. I'm trying really hard not to gain more than 20 this time, my back can't hang! I can say, I have eaten much healthier this time, compared to my 1st.

babyleo- I wish I hadn't gained any weight yet, but I've already gained 10 lbs! My doc wasn't too happy with me! I was 145 pre-pregnancy, so I shouldn't have gained this much. God-- food just tastes so good some days and no to mention my bowels have been irregular so I know I'm holding onto extra calories..

Baby Leo I'm actually down 2kg I'm sure ur fine i m preg with my third and every pregnancy I lost weight even without ms .. With my first I didn't actually put on weight until 33 weeks and over the last 8 1/2 weeks I gained 7.4 kg.. And very much the same with my second .. Everyones body just handles pregnancy different .. :)

I feel flutters but nothing distinctive yet like it's definitely the baby. I think any day now! My ms is way better. I can eat now. I started feeling better in week 14. I let everyone know I'm pregnant yesterday and that it's a girl. I got tons of emails and phonecalls from friends, family & Coworkers offering congrats. I had a lot of 'so glad you're getting the girl' comments...lol

Happy to be in wk 15! I finally feel like my energy level is picking back up - Yay! I actually walked for an hour last night and 30 minutes the night before. Feels good! I too have only felt a few little flutters here and there, but I do know it'll be soon that it'll be all the time :) Can't wait! 3 more wks til gender scan...

I have felt flutters one time... I go to the doc next Tuesday and I really want to get the early gender scan, but insurance doesn't cover it... and hubby can't make that appointment, so I have to wait until March...booo!

same here man it was awful and I had made a good dinner all to lose it 10 mins after sucks nw I have a sore throat....baby is ok saw the angel mon moving around alot on US have a 3d US nxt thurs to clearly see if baby is on mark since i'm high risk and maybe knw the sex I get one evry month till I deliver.

@oursecretwedding, to be fair, the time that happened it was at my 20 week anatomy ultrasound at a specialized clinic where that's all they do. It wasn't at my doctor's office. There are 5 or 6 sonogram techs ushering women in and out all day for ultrasound scans so it may be the case where they're giving photos out all day that they perhaps do start running low on paper. However, I distinctly remember that woman tech I got had attitude and she was rude. She was snippy and quiet, not too friendly. She seemed to think that she was there to get measurements and do her work, not make chit-chat with me. It was obvious to me that she thought she needed to send all the photos to my doctors' office, not give me pictures for my baby book. She only gave me 1 (because I asked) but sort of reluctantly, said they were low on paper (yet she had a bunch of them that I saw her put in my medical file). I never did get them. I'm sure they're still there at my doctor's office, a momento of my 2nd son's visits there while he was still inside me..lol.

@oursecretwedding, that happened to me once, where the ultrasound tech was snotty and only gave me one photo (reluctantly at that), told me they didn't have enough paper. This was w/ my last pregnancy. BTW, question for everyone, what is the average bpm of the baby's heart at this point? Mine has always been in the mid to high 140's. I go in today for my 2nd set of bloodwork tests...I should be in an out of the lab there, no actual appt.

Yay, we had our check up today and we got to hear baby's heart beat...120bpm...and after that we had an echo appointment to look at my daughters heart to make sure it didn't have any holes and all was good! So we had good news everywhere today :) and on top of all that one of my good friends got married today so today has been an extra special day today :) Also, we get to find out what baby is in three weeks! We are very excited! :)

Ok well the good news is: I loveeeeee my new doctor! He is everything I hoped for. I felt comfortable, not rushed. Understood not judged and he was totally ok with my birth plan. The not so great news is that the baby was laying with it's head down and we couldn't see what it is. But I'm ok with that. I'm just so glad a found the right doctor for me.

I didn't realize there were so many of us with 2 or more kids of the same sex and hoping for the opposite (boy or girl) this time around. I wasn't sure what I wanted but my mom is overjoyed for me. She's always said every woman needs to know what it feels like to have both a son and daughter. My sister also has both and says I 'needed' a girl....lol

She only gave me 1 (because I asked) but sort of reluctantly, said they were low on paper (yet she had a bunch of them that I saw her put in my medical file). I never did get them. I'm sure they're still there at my doctor's office, a momento of my 2nd son's visits there while he was still inside me..lol.

wow they ran out of paper! thats very hard to believe.. my tech gives me the pictures on a cd, i like it that way.. my DH works out of town and its easier to send them to him electronically.

@oursecretwedding, that happened to me once, where the ultrasound tech was snotty and only gave me one photo (reluctantly at that), told me they didn't have enough paper. This was w/ my last pregnancy. BTW, question for everyone, what is the average bpm of the baby's heart at this point? Mine has always been in the mid to high 140's. I go in today for my 2nd set of bloodwork tests...I should be in an out of the lab there, no actual appt.

Has anyone ever heard of this happening? We had a 15-week u.s. this week and when I asked for photos/print-outs the technician said we're out of paper! A once-in-a-lifetime chance and they're out of paper?!

Yay, we had our check up today and we got to hear baby's heart beat...120bpm...and after that we had an echo appointment to look at my daughters heart to make sure it didn't have any holes and all was good! So we had good news everywhere today :) and on top of all that one of my good friends got married today so today has been an extra special day today :) Also, we get to find out what baby is in three weeks! We are very excited! :)

Ok well the good news is: I loveeeeee my new doctor! He is everything I hoped for. I felt comfortable, not rushed. Understood not judged and he was totally ok with my birth plan. The not so great news is that the baby was laying with it's head down and we couldn't see what it is. But I'm ok with that. I'm just so glad a found the right doctor for me.

Thanks girls my appt is in 2 hrs, 2 blocks from my house. I'm so exited! This new doctor has a 4D machine and might be able to tell me what I'm having!!!!!!! I will let you girl know how it went later!

I didn't realize there were so many of us with 2 or more kids of the same sex and hoping for the opposite (boy or girl) this time around. I wasn't sure what I wanted but my mom is overjoyed for me. She's always said every woman needs to know what it feels like to have both a son and daughter. My sister also has both and says I 'needed' a girl....lol
