Your baby's crown-to-rump length is 5.2 to 6 inches this week. Your baby weighs approximately 7 ounces and will increase its weight more than 15 times between now and birth!

Most women can feel their uterus about a half of an inch below their bellybutton at this point of pregnancy. If you turn to the side, you can really tell that your body is changing! Most women have gained up to 14 pounds now and only 7 ounces of that is your baby! The placenta weighs about 6 ounces and the amniotic fluid that surrounds your baby weighs 11 ounces. Your breasts have increased in weight by 6 ounces each and the uterus has grown to 11 ounces! You may be gaining weight in places other than your abdomen and this may be affecting your posture and sleeping habits.

One of the most amazing aspects of your baby's growth and development is that of the fetal brain. Your baby's brain is one of the first organs to appear. Your baby's oversized head shows the brain's importance in his development. Because the nerves that connect the muscles to the brain have grown into place, your baby's movements are consciously directed. Your baby's ears stand out from the sides of the head and the buds for your baby's permanent teeth appear. Your baby's arms and legs have reached their relative proportions and his feet are approximately one inch long.

3scompany- they always say to trust your instinct.. True instinct over desires. With my son I always said girl because I wanted one so bad. Deep down I didn't feel like it was a girl.. And he wasnt. Lol this time I really feel like I'm having a girl. Even tho some days id like another boy. We will see! Well time for you and hubby to start thinking names! That's exciting

Brookebaby-sort of, but I was hesitant to go with that feeling because you just never know. The night before the u/s I finally told my husband that I thought we were having a boy.

I'm so sorry you guys went through that. It's always been a secret fear of mine in early pregnancy. I'm always nervous when I wipe. That fear woukd always start letting up some around 8 weeks, but I always thought I was being silly. I didn'trealize Iit actually happened like that sometimes. I thought the baby was nearly always reabsorbed by your body when you had a really early miscarriage. :(

hello ladies hello week 19 so glad weeks are going by faster I can't wait next week is my anatomy u/s on Friday my husband and I are getting so anxious last time we saw our little one was at 12 weeks looking forward to seeing our little ones growth I must say this little guy or girl has some very powerful kicks already

sweettart & mharter- when i had a miscarriage (like 4 years ago) i wiped and there was a hard thing on the toilet paper that felt like a rock.. i'm positive it was the baby.. never told anyone that but i know it was!

mharter sorry this is a bit late (and not my week anymore). I lost one at 7 1/2 weeks and your description sounds about like mine. It was about the size of my thumb but mine came with bleeding. I could see the little nubs for arms and legs. It was def a baby.

Kimblestar, chickfila is a fast food chain with chicken sandwiches that runs their company based on Christian values and therefore is closed on Sundays so that all their employees can have a day of rest. And of course, the only day of the week I ever seem to want it, pregnant or not, is Sunday. Lol

My mums big dog Olli playfully dived for my pug puppy. He was quick and got out the way...... And Ollis jaw ended up around my heel, one of his big teeth puncturing the back of my heel with his body whacking the back of my legs sending me flying! A lot if blood and a slight pulled muscle on my painful kidney side!!!!! And my day had started off so nicely with a walk on the beach and an aqua cardio class!!!!! Oooh I did finally get the link info for the tv show we were on 2 weeks ago. Go onto google and type in 'bobtail 8 may 2013' .... I just look heavy, not pregnant but my pugalicious pug is just too cute!!!!! Thought u might like to see. Off for a nap now!!! Yay!!!

My ultrasound is on Tuesday! I can't wait!! They called me on Friday to push it back from 9 :00 to 11:00! I was glad it was at least on the same day!!

Thank you ladies for the birthday wishes :) had a pretty good day!! Boyfriend took me out to dinner and a movie. My sisters bachelorette party actually wasn't that bad being the sober one.. I thought it was going to be terrible. I danced all night and stayed up until 2 am.. How I did that I don't have a clue!! Haha halfway done today ladies, 20 weeks for me!! Woohoo

Ok def over the anchovy craving. Mouth felt horrible whole night from too much salt and drank at least 3 liters of water also! The only good thing was all that water meant I could at least pee a decent amount!!!! I have been so jealous of Manon having nice long wees ha ha I hate these little but often pee sessions! So annoying and unsatisfying!!!!! Do I sound weird or do you know what I mean?

Just freaked myself out. Calming my daughter down from a fit & laid her against my chest, where she quickly passed out. Then I felt a warm liquid running down my shirt. It saturated my shirt, my bra, her shirt & her pants. I don't know if it came from me or her! The liquid was clear & odorless.... I changed her & I, & when I nursed it was alot- especially after afit. What the heck?

Happy Birthday 2Tauruses :)........ I would love it if my baby was born end of September! My whole husbands side of the family is planning a family vacation to Hawaii and I NEED a vacation so bad!! I would be so deppressed if my 6 weeks are not up by the time they go :(.. I know the baby will be so small still but maybe its better that way? cuz they pretty much sleep all day at that age. lol

I'm so tired, & so crabby. My husband & my son have been bickering all day long.... Tied the first game because we scored on ourselves, then drove 2 hours to the next game where we lost to the last place team. They definitely didn't play fair. Bickered all the way back home & now it's quiet & everyone is getting sent to bed early. Cody is acting like a twit running his mouth & josh falls right into it. Ugh... Not to mention, spent more money than we had so we're loving like church mice until thursday.

Babybump, oh wow. This is my first pregnancy too where the year won't change, but I never even thought about the deductible thing. I feel really blessed to have military insurance aomwtimes, even though it can be a pain in the butt at times. Lol

I am due October 8th and was hoping, since having a girl, there would be a way to pull off a last day of Sept baby so she wouldn't be the oldest in her class. Now everyone is telling me they changed the cut off to Sept. 1. Guess she can come whenever she would like. This is the first baby that the year won't change during my pregnancy and we won't have to start back over with meeting our insurance deductible in the middle of my pregnancy.

I'm hoping for baby's bday to be Oct 2nd. It shouldn't be a problem. I have to have a c-section and normally they like them to be right around 39 weeks and on a weekday. It fits all of the criteria so I have my fingers crossed!

Happy mom-start reading her books about getting a baby sister and becoming a big sister. It helped my son because he was somewhat prepared beforehand. I haven't started working on my daughter yet though. It will be different with her baby, because she will see your body changing and tshe will have time to get used to the idea. Before baby is born, get her a baby of her own to take care of. You can use the baby doll to teach her how to treat real baby, and she can mimic mommy when the new baby is born. You will have to make sure to have some alone time with her once baby is here. I would start with the books by 30 weeks and baby doll around that time for at least a month before due date.

Ok girls, HELP! I just spent a wonderful morning outside with my daughter and her three cousins. Our neighbors wandered over too, lots of fun! Anyways, as the morning was winding down I offered to hold my SIL's baby (1 month) while she packed up her stuff. All the kids were starting to lose it a bit. Anyways, my daughter FREAKED. She was crying and screaming and saying 'mama mama' over and over and held her arms up to me. She never cries, never complains, and isn't very clingy. It broke my heart and I almost burst into tears. I love our little life together, just me and her most days. (Hubby works long hours). So...what's going to happen when the baby comes?! Is it going to change her entire personality? Will she be the same happy baby? Am I ruining her life?! Or just being overdramatic... ;)

I wouldn't mind having baby on 9/27 (My Bday) but id only b 37 weeks so if baby was developed all the way & also 10/16 (My Moms Bday) She hopes I have baby on her Bday she says it'd b the best birthday gift she'd ever receive...lol. I love my mom she's so supportive through everything this baby will b my 4th & she wants me to have more & I'm like no way mom..she's crazy! But she did have 6 kids herself. No Way!! Haha.

Happy bday Taurus.... Hope it has been wonderful!!!!! I have a conflict of interest re dream due date. As mentioned before wld be incredibly special if baba was born on my brothers bday 22 sept and hey presto boy name problem solved!!! Lol. I would however love either 03.10.2013 or 13.10.2013 because Manon was born on 24.01.2004 and from a numerology point of view wld be lovely. BUT I have 2 very close friends weddings on 19th oct and 1 nov so the earlier the better from my social life point of view lol! The only weddings the whole year!!!! C'maaaaaan!!!!

I've been trying to get my almost 4 year old to feel baby kick for a while now but she's jut not patient enough to wait. She always says she felt it but there was definitely no kick. Yesterday and today she's completely in love with baby sister for some reason. This morning she was laying with her head on my belly just being snuggly and baby kicked her! She was sooooo excited! It was the absolute best moment so far!

Yeah I guess that would be pretty big for 8 weeks. I'm just going to tell myself that it was something else. I'm glad I didn't know I was pregnant at that point or I would have been freaking out so bad! It definitely wouldn't have been further along because it was only one weekend of sex and nothing for months before that. I'm pretty sure of my conception date :).

I don't have a dream date for this one. My son I wanted May 5th so he could have Cnqo de Mayo parties. He was born on the 6th. My daughter I wanted March 8, since that is my birthday, she was on the 10th, which is Chuck Norris's birthday. My brother in law is expecting a baby Sept27, so I'd like to avoid that date. Mharter- it seems like that would be pretty big by week 8. I wonder if you were further along with that one some how, or if it was tissue passing from some other cause?

Mharter, I've never miscarried, so idk much about it. I know eaely on your body is supposed to reabsorb the baby, but I'm sure it sometimes gets passed. I know you didn't know at the time that you were pregnant at all, but that would have freaked me out so bad. They say a pretty high percentage of pregnancies actually start out as twins and one doesn't make it though, so I guess it's possible.

Mharter04- I when I miscarried in December I also had a very heavy painfull period but was only 5 weeks so there was no embryo. My sisters friend lost hers at 10 weeks and said she passed a seahorse/tadpole looking object suspected to be her lost baby. But not twins. I hope you get some answers!

I must say, this group of women is totally different from the other weeks I was in. In 2010, and 2011, my last 2 pregnancies, all the women just wanted to post random updates on themselves, and not really respond to others comments. But you all seem to care for one another, and that is really great. I've been following along since I was 4 weeks pregnant, and I am def glad to be in a group of women like yourselves.
