Hi girls! How are you all? I just went for my 24 week visit and the babies are measuring 1.7 and 1.5 lbs which is larger than my last at this stage. What are yours measuring? Mine are also transverse so I am praying REALLY hard that they decide to turn!!!! I do not want to have a section- I do not NEED to have a section, I have 5 other kiddos to take care of!

dlei - 2 days ago
Hi Twinsx2, I go to the doctor every 2 weeks with an ultrasound every time. It is because I am having identical twins who share the same placenta. At 28 weeks I will go every week - such fun!! I was also told by my doctor to expect to be off work by 28 weeks. If all is well and I feel good then she will extend it, but only week by week - playing it by ear.

gkgeerdes - 3 days ago
Hello All! I am currently 22 weeks and found out last week that I am having boy / girl twins. I am very excited. I have been on either bedrest or take it very easy since 12 weeks, anyone else out there? Things are going very well though and the babies are both weighing in @ 1 pound!! I will probably be at home on bedrest again in about 6 weeks or so!! Trying not to go crazy. Good luck everyone and congrats!

TWINSX2 - 3 days ago
Hi I am 23 weeks and this is my second set of twins. I have never been told my measurements and never thought to ask. I guess having had three singleton pregnancies prior, I knew I was HUGE!LOL Does anyone else get an US every visit? My twins were 11 oz at 19 weeks and they said they were right on track (probably based on tghe size of my last twins). I have just been curious how often you guys see the doc, and how often you get scanned. I am on thesame visit schedule as I was when I was only carrying one(not complaining- I hate going in every 4 weeks)but just curious what everyone elses experiences have been. Good luck an happy gestating!!!

ROSIE7265 - 3 days ago
I am 22 weeks tomorrow and am measuring at 28 weeks, and from what I'm told that is normal to measure around 6 weeks ahead because of the twins. I feel movement a number of times a day and am not feeling it externally when I touch the spot that the movement is in. At 20 weeks, Baby A was weighing in at 14 oz. and Baby B was weiging in at 13 oz. They are both boys too.

sandi9997 - 3 days ago
So far I am measuring 5 1/2 weeks then a singleton. 23 weeks now and having a ton of movement. Though the feeling is weird it is amazing .

JenU - 4 days ago
misstamara - I go to the doc on the 9th of August so I will see if I am ahead. When I went to the doc on my 20 week I measured a little ahead but then again we didn't know that I was expecting twins. Maybe the babies were laying weird and made it seem that way or the nurse could have measured wrong?

misstamara - 4 days ago
Hey all the other twin mommies. I was wondering how many inches everyone is measuring? I am measuring about 31 weeks and am about 23 weeks right now. I am just curious if anyone else is busting out the measuring tape on their own. : ) Also wondering how much movement everyone is feeling.

durangomama - 4 days ago
thanks jenu. i shouldnt have even started... i'm pretty low maintenance, and now i feel the need to correct it. i should just let it be :-)

jenniferlynn5366 - 4 days ago
what is everyones fluid levels do you know?? One of my babies has 11 cm and the other 10 cm and I was told that was to high

JenU - 5 days ago
Sorry Durango - I don't dye my hair so I have gotten lucky about that. I have always heard not too but have seen other pregnant ladies doing it and their children came out fine. Maybe call the nurse at your doctors office - I know I hate calling about questions like that but I am sure they hear it all the time. At least I hope?

durangomama - 5 days ago
do any of you dye your hair? i;ve only done it twice, once it was too light and the second time was to cover it up. needless to say, i need to do a touch up to cover up the lighter stuff. i was thinking of doing something like henna, thats a little less toxic. i dont want to use any harsh chemicals while pregnant, but i am hating my hair right now... am i overreacting? whats the scoop on using henna or regular hair dye while preggers?

shocked*up - 5 days ago
Just found out on Friday that I am having a Boy and a Girl.....I'm so excited!

dlei - 9 days ago
Just had my 22 week check up (I go every 2 weeks with ultrasound) and found out I am having identical girls!! One is weighing 15 oz and the other is 1 lb 2 oz. Both heart rates are 157 - Crazy!! Anyways, just thought I'd share! Hope all you twin mommies are doing just great!

durangomama - 9 days ago
Has anyone been watching the Twin Specials on the Discovery Health Channel? I was watching it last night, amazing. One family had three sets of twins, and they were all different 'types' of twins...check it out if you havent already.

twinzmum - 10 days ago
Hey guys just wanted to say that i hope all is good with you all and your babies...

JenU - 13 days ago
I am 21 weeks today and yesterday found out I am having twins. I am so scared and overjoyed at the same time. I have so many questions and concerns. At my ultrasound, they looked great Twin A is most likely a girl and Twin B is definitely a boy.

mrsbradshaw - 14 days ago
not to mention I am all belly though

mrsbradshaw - 14 days ago
well wit hthat I have only gained 15 pounds

dlei - 14 days ago
I'm hoping the other twin mommies can offer me some advice or ideas on what might be going on... I am 22 weeks today and I woke up at 3 am last night to roll from my left to right side (usually is quite the process - I can't imagine later on in the pregnancy...oh boy!) and when I got to the right side I had terrible aching cramping across my whole tummy just under my breasts. It took my breath away. I sat up hoping it would help but it continued to hurt as I took deep breaths. I was still tired so went back onto my left, which was fine and fell back asleep until 6am. I woke up and the pain was still there so I propped myself up with pillows and took a tylenol. I had to get up to get ready for work and it hurt, I got in the shower and felt like throwing up. I think the tylenol finally kicked in when I got to work and after I ate my cereal but there is still a dull ache. Could it be a muscle pull, or growing pains or something else? I am worried but don't want to be too worried over nothing but don't want to be too passive in case the nothing is actually something? Watcha think?

sailorsbabybump - 16 days ago
At 22 weeks I am measuring around 29 weeks. Have you had an ultrasound at all? This is how they found our twins. They can also check with a doppler. Have they done that?

omgtwins - 16 days ago
mrsbradshaw- at 17 wks they measured me and said I was at 23 weeks. But they don't really go by the measurements for twins because your going to be bigger. I guess a good indicator is your wt gain. Should be about one pound per week.

mrsbradshaw - 16 days ago
hello ladies,I am from week 22 and my midwife said that I am measuring at 34 weeks.Since you all are pregnant with twin have any of you got this response from your midwife.

blueyes24 - 16 days ago
Iwanted to ask if anyone has had fluid around the twins kidneys and if so, what happened.

maurice - 17 days ago
Ok lady's I have a couple of questions. Please forgive my ignorance!lol My wife's dr. said he hasn't seen a uterus like hers in ten years. I guess for twins it usually measures 3 1/2 while my wifey's measures 5 1/2. Doc says it great and he is excited.lol while my wife is extremely uncomfortable. she is 31 weeks today I think? she told the dr. to c section her b/c she can't take anymore pain after 34 weeks, he laughed and said with her castiron uterus he wouldn't. My question is what does the uterus do? the bigger the more the baby can grow? what about the cervix, when it softens what does that mean? I would ask my wife however she might get agitated by me.lmao please let me know!!!!

TWINGIRLS08 - 19 days ago
CONGRATS! To all of you on your twin pregnancy. My twins are almost 6 months now, man does time fly. I never thought I would say this being that my pregnancy was horrible!, but at one point (believe it or not) I did miss being pregnant, so enjoy it. Any questions or anything feel free to leave a comment. Good Luck and GOD BLESS!

misstamara - 23 days ago
Hi twin mommys! I am new to this website and just wanted to say congratulations to everyone. I had an u/s today with my specialist and the babies are growing well. I am 20.5 weeks along and can't wait for my little ones to be here. I was wondering if anyone else had problems with hyperemesis (morning sickness on steroids as I have coined it) and got a PICC line put in about 16 weeks. I am wondering, if anyone else has had the same problem and how long the PICC was in for. I am eating again. FINALLY! And am ready to have this thing out. It is miserable

janelle - 23 days ago

kak21 - 24 days ago
Hi all, I am 20 wks with the twins measuring at 21 -1/2 wks. I found out today that they're both boys = the tech says they're fraternal, so we'll see.... both weigh in at 1 pound each and are growing at the same rate = i have my next apt in 4 weeks with another u/s scheduled - i finally felt baby a today during the u/s - and also could see baby a kicking baby b in the face a lot HaHa - a is head down and b is head up - but my dr. told me not to panic yet that b could still turn to be head down before its all said and done = since this is my 6 and 7 babies respectively - they are willing to let me try vaginal delivery even if one is breech barring any complications of course - but more u/s will tell whether that will hold true.

twinzmum - 27 days ago
Hey i am new to this but i just wanted to say that i am 20 weeks pregant with twins i am having a boy & girl, i already have a 15 months old girl, so i will have my hands full! i am a little worried about having 3 under 20 months. but i think we'll be ok!!

Amandarekkedal - 30 days ago
Hello mama's in the twim pregnancy 'room'!! I have been visiting this site often and LOVE reading about others who are due the same time as me. Went in today for my 20 week ultrasound, and we were really hoping to find out the sex of the baby, MUCH to our surprise, we found of the sex of BOTH our babies!! I am having twin girls and today I just found out that there were two!!! I am scared out of my mind, but also extremelly happy!!! Congrats to all!

hopefulmommy - 30 days ago
I'm at 22wks and when I went in for my ultra sound at 20wks my doctor also said my babies are very active. However, they noticed one of the placenta's was between the babies and my belly so I wouldn't feel as much movement because it acts as a pillow. I do feel them inside but not so much on the outter skin.

sailorsbabybump - 32 days ago
vikingbabies~ my babies are doing the same thing! I have ultrasounds and they say 'wow they are busy! When you start feeling them you won't stop' Well I still haven't! I think mine are facing each other so it might be harder to feel them? I'm not really sure. My doctor actually told me that anytime between 20 and 24 weeks is normal to start feeling them. Every once in a while I think 'hey was that them?' but it never happens again so I never know. Hope we both start feeling them soon!!

vikingbabies - 32 days ago
Any of you NOT really feel much of anything? I'm 21 weeks, and at the ultrasound she told me I had two very active little ones and I could see them moving but I really don't think I feel that much. Or maybe I don't know what it is I do feel? I get sharp pains here and there in my belly but I always chalk it up to be gas or hunger or something. Could it be if the placentas are in the front of the belly that I don't feel as much?? Any comments or anyone feel the same?

omgtwins - 32 days ago
I'm 21 weeks. The last ultrasound at 19 wks looks like it's two girls. I can feel each of them move at different times. One feels like it is stronger because it's more in the front. But I love it when they move it makes me smile cause no one else knows but me. I have gained 15 pounds so far and I know about 2 of it is in my boobs alone! Has anyone had problems with vericose veins yet? Are you wearing compresion hose?

Meplus2 - 33 days ago
I'm 21 weeks today. My husband felt his first kick (or punch.. not quite sure) last night. He was so excited!! I've just started feeling the movement on the outside of my belly.. i love it. I can sit and feel it all day!! Hope all is well with all of you!!!

NC 'Big twins' tip scales at a combined 23 pounds Posted: Today at 3:54 p.m. WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — They aren't America's heaviest newborn twins on record, but they certainly tip the scales: Sean William Maynard and Abigail Rose Maynard weighed in at a combined 23 pounds and 1 ounce at birth this week, a North Carolina hospital announced Friday. Freda Springs, spokeswoman for Forsyth Medical Center, said the twins were delivered two minutes apart by Caesarean section on Tuesday at the center's Sara Lee Center for Women's Health in Winston-Salem. The boy weighed 10 pounds, 14 ounces; the girl, 12 pounds, 3 ounces. Springs said both babies are in excellent condition after their birth to parents Joey and Erin Maynard of Winston-Salem. The combined weight of the twins is about four pounds shy of the combined weight of twins born in Arkansas in 1927, the hospital said. Those twins weighed a total of 27 pounds, 12 ounces, hospital researchers said, adding they could find no public record of any heavier twins than the Arkansas pair born since 1900. They said the Maynard twins topped a 1997 delivery in North Carolina of big twins weighing a total of 18 pounds, 10 ounces. Sean, tucked in a blue blanket, was held by his mother and his sister, swaddled in pink, was cradled by her father at a hospital news conference Friday. The infants slept quietly through their first public appearance.

Has any of you been flying? How many weeks were you when you went? I plan to move back to Sweden and leave the 4th of July, I'll be 24 weeks. Thing is I might have to wait a few more weeks to get things finished here...meaning I might be flying at 26-28 weeks. Any comments or advise? Doc says I can fly till 30 weeks but I still would like any first hand accounts.

I am 23 weeks today, and I finally found out yesterday I am having 2 beautiful girls, and they both are doing great. Sometimes, I still cant believe Im having twins.....Best Wishes

sandesmithbaby - 36 days ago
Hello ALL... I am thinking I will have my shower around 30 weeks as well. I figure if I make it that far it I will be ready for it. I feel so huge and uncomfortable already at only 23 weeks. It will be nice to have a couple weeks to go get what I may still need after the shower. I don't think 30 weeks is too early. I hope you are all staying cool and comfortable. Take care!

csinkula - 36 days ago
vikingbabies: We are also not finding out the sex of our twins. Whether we were having one or ten, we would not want to know ahead of time. Good for you for keeping the surprise going!

Hello Mommies, Im nearly 25 weeks now and cant believe how quickly time flies. Starting out my 3rd trimester now, and realizing how much stuff I need to get!! I am truely uncomfortable in my body at this point. Feeling huge and stiff along with extreme exhaustion and a few other pregnancy side effects...Oh well, Its for a good cause. All us ladies have a long hot summer to look forward to! hehehe I feel my boys move around constantly, at least every few hours or so. Sometimes I feel more movement on the left side and my doc said thats perfectly fine. Im having a shower in my 30th week, and cant wait. Im sure Ill be super uncomfortable by then, just hoping I can still drive, as It'll be 4 hours away... Good luck to everyone, and I hope youre all feeling ok. xo

kristaS - 38 days ago
I am also having the the pelvic pain. Sometimes I can barely walk or get up. I'm so scared to see what I'll feel like in a month or so.

AshleyEvans - 39 days ago
Good Morning ladies! I am 21 weeks preggo with twin girls. Swan, I know exactly what you mean about the tiredness and mood swings. I live in FL and it has been brutally hot here as well and has just been really difficult to be outdoors. Even if just to the car and back. I know it is not gunna get any easier so i am trying to prepare myself for that. My family is pressuring me about a baby shower date and i am not sure if i should plan it early so i am not so uncomfortable or plan it around my 30 week mark. One of my friends has twin girls and she delivered at 32 weeks so she keeps pushing me to have it early as possible. I dunno. Any suggestions? Ali - I am also having some soreness. I am not sure if it is the same as yours but it is in my lower pelvic area. Feels like i have been riding a horse for a week straight. I called my Dr. and she said it is the pelvic bones separating. Lovely huh.. Well, good luck everyone. Keep posting!

Hi All, I am 24 weeks and a bit concerned as both twins are breech side by side - I feel the one on the left move all the time but I don't feel the one on the right at all. Has anyone had this?? I haev a midwife app this afternoon but I can't stop thinking there is something wrong - any advice would be great. Taz xx

I met this girl last night that had twins and she was telling me how bad the end is and it really freaked me out. I know it's not the same for everyone but I know it's going to be rough.
