Ladies I understand what you feel! Baby A is sooooo low I feel like she wants out now! Baby B is higher up, but when I walk I feel baby A pressing down on my pelvis! It hurts soooo much...I am only 29 wks 4 days...My u/s is on the 14th, so i will find out what position they are in...I pray to have a vaginal delivery...c-section scares the hell out of me!! I am terrifed of surgery and don't want one...is anyone else terrified of a c-section?? Lots of Love and Luck to you all! Feel better and prop up your feet! lol..xoxoox

went to the dr yest, they were very happy with the growth in the past 2 weeks. baby a is 3 lbs something and b is 2lbs 13 oz. said that a will be born first so looks like ill be able to go without c section. cervix is really big so i hope they stay in a while longer, even though it feels like my belly has doubled and it sure is hot out.

Hey Maurice! Maybe you and your wife really needs to sit down and have talk with the MD. While I know that the babies are absolutely important, I think that healthcare professionals (me included) tend to forget about the mommies. To some we are just walking incubators. If your wife is that uncomfortable, and I feel her pain (i am only 28 wks and 5 days, and have never been more miserable in my life) make sure and stress that fact to him. If your wife is up to an amnio to check lung development then push the issue. Her mental well being is just as important as the babies. I will get off my soapbox now :)

My twins are feet first and head first, when i spoke to my midwife she said that as long as the first one out is head first then i can a natural delivery as once the first twin is delivery he may then turn himself ot they will delivery him feet first! I don't want to have a c section neither! x

Hi Maurice, grab your wife's baby books and have a look in the index. I can't really answer your questions, but I'm sure you can find out... on the net or in a pregnancy book. It's great that you are interested. You might have to grill the dr or midwife next time you see them! LOL! Good luck.

YAY! 28 Weeks today. Now all I have to do is hold my little darlings in there for another month... or more. Off on holiday to inlaws for 4 nights today. Can't wait to get away! My glucose tolerance test came back fine, so no gestational diabetes after all. Phew!! Babies are bomping about, now all i have to do is take it easy and my poor old shortened cervix will hopefully keep doing it's job and keep those babies in.

Ok lady's I have a couple of questions. Please forgive my ignorance!lol My wife's dr. said he hasn't seen a uterus like hers in ten years. I guess for twins it usually measures 3 1/2 while my wifey's measures 5 1/2. Doc says it great and he is excited.lol while my wife is extremely uncomfortable. she is 31 weeks today I think? she told the dr. to c section her b/c she can't take anymore pain after 34 weeks, he laughed and said with her castiron uterus he wouldn't. My question is what does the uterus do? the bigger the more the baby can grow? what about the cervix, when it softens what does that mean? I would ask my wife however she might get agitated by me.lmao please let me know!!!!

Sue12333 I am pregnant with boy/girl twins. My boy is vertex but my girl is breach. My doctor told me that we still have time for her to turn. I am just giong to keep my fingers crossed and hope that she does. I also want to try to have mine vaiginal but if a c-section is the best option of course I will have to do that. Good luck to you!

Hi everyone! I've been reading your comments for several months, and finally decided to join you. I'm 29 wks 4 days w/bg twins. They're both vertex & hoping they stay that way. Last week we had our u/s and my baby girl is at 2 lbs 14 oz and my boy 2 lbs 9 oz. I'm so excited and I can't wait to see them. It feels so great to be happy every single day since the day you found out you were pregnant. Sometimes I feel very determined to have these babies, esp. vaginally, but sometimes I get scared. Hi sue12333! I am having 1 girl and 1 boy. They are both head down and have been head down since day one. The MD says that I am probably feeling more pressure down there than most since both heads are pushing down there. I have the most god awful pelvic pain 24/7. I equate to what a man feels like when he gets kicked in the you know where, or when you were younger and riding a bike and your foot slipped off the pedal and you racked your pelvic bone on the bar. I have had a c section and vbac. I have opted for another section. I feel like I have more control this way. That is just my personal feelings for all you moms that want natural.. kudos to you. I am a nurse and I love modern medicine.

HELLO EVERYONE!! IM 28 WEEKS AND EXPECTING 2 TWIN GIRLS.. I JUST GOT BACK FROM MY MONTHLY ULTRASOUND AND BOTH BABYS ARE GROWING GREAT ONE IS 2 LBS 11 OZ AND THE OTHER IS 2 LBS 12 OZ.. THE ONLY THING IS THAT THEY ARE BOTH BREECH AND HAVE BEEN FOR THE PAST 2 MONTHS.. IS ANYONE ELSE IN THIS SITUAITON??.. I REALLY DONT WANT A C SECTION I DELIVERED MY FIRST DAUGHTER VAGINAL.. WHAT IS ANYONE ELSES BABIES POSTION?? PLEASE LET ME KNOW I FEEL ALL ALONE EVERYONE ELSE I KNOW HAS ONE CHILD I HAVE NOONE TO TALK TOO AND IM SCARED.. HOWS EVERYONE ELSE FEELING???

Hi everyone!! I made it to the next level!!! YAY! I am 28 weeks and 3 days. I am having a lot of what I think is round ligament pain. Let me tell you, it hurts. Sometimes feels like an ice pick in my left side. Anyone else having this issue? I almost call the MD, but I have an appointment this Friday and I am going to try and hold off. Any suggestions, besides tylenol? I was an Advil girl before pregnancy. Tylenol does nothing for my aches and pains.

Just got back from the Dr. office and everything is fine.yipppeeee!!! the babies weigh 3lb 12oz and 3lb 8oz at 30 weeks. Wifey had really bad cramps yesterday so sat in the hospital all day. blah! can't wait til they come out, so that my wife can get off the emotional rollercoaster!!!!! Thank God I'm not a woman. Thank you Jesus!!!!

Just got back from my 28 week scan twin 1 is breech and twin 2 is head down, the sonographer said that techniquly twin 2 is now twin 1 as he/she is head down first (anyone else heard of this?), i'm really hoping for a natural birth, but what will be will be. They both weigh approx 2lbs 1 oz each, which is average.

I'm 28 weeks and 3 days today. I've got my third scan today to see how the babies are growing - anxious to know how they are doing but really excited, my mum is coming with me and she is so excited as well.

CONGRATS! To all of you on your twin pregnancy. My twins are almost 6 months now, man does time fly. I never thought I would say this being that my pregnancy was horrible!, but at one point (believe it or not) I did miss being pregnant, so enjoy it. Hi everyone, I am new here. 29 weks with twin girls. I have been using bio oil for stretch marks and it is excellent. This pregnancy is very painful though. both babies weigh 2lbs 10. exactly yhe same size. I am fed up now and doctor said they will induce at 37 weeks. Cant wait. Good luck everyone.

26 WEEKS SUPER PREGGO WITH TWIN GIRLS. THEY ARE IN SEPARATE SACS AND BOTH HAVE THEIR OWN PLACENTA....AT 25 WEEKS BABY A WEIGHED 1.5LBS AND BABY B WAS 2.0LBS...BOTH OF THEIR FLUIDS WERE GREAT AND THE DOC SAID THAT THEY WERE RIGHT ON TARGET...I THINK HE PLANS ON TAKING THEM AT 38 WEEKS....IF WE CAN MAKE IT THAT FAR!!! I HOPE SO...I WANT THEM TO COME INTO THE WORLD HAPPY AND HEALTHY WITH NO PROBLEMS...I AM PRAYING FOR YOU MOMMIES AND PLEASE DO THE SAME....GOD BLESS!!!

Made to 28 weeks yay!!!! Just had my RH Negitive shot and bloods taken, looks like twin 1 is breech and twin 2 is head down. My BP has also come sine being off work which is great. I have another scan on monday, can't wait as its been 8 weeks since my last one.

hi BUNINOVEN...i am currently 26 weeks and they are the girl is 2.3 pound and the boy 2.7 pound so they are like a week to two ahead, and the doctors are always pleased to see that. The funy thing is the doctor told me my uterus is measuring fullterm now means 38 weeks, that would be the time to have a singelton...hihi..well but i dont mind waiting ...they should stay in there as long as needed!!!

I'm 28 1/2 weeks with twins and had my scan and they are 3lbs 8 oz & 3lbs 11 oz I guess they are measuring 2 weeks ahead. Is anyone else measuring ahead? They could see floaty hair on one of them awww!

WOOHOO! 30 weeks today which was my goal and it looks like these babies will hang in until at least my ultimate goal of 32 weeks and hopefully longer. U/S today showed both fluid levels normal and baby B (Charley) weighs 3 lbs 8 oz (70th %) and Baby A weighs 3 lbs (43rd%). We were worried about how much A (Abbey) would grow but she is behind her sister but still normal!!!

At 24 weeks from the ultrasound, Baby A weighed 672 grams and Baby B weighed 693 grams....I translated this to about 1 lb 7 oz and 1 lb 8 oz....is this normal weights for 24 weeks??? My next ultrasound is on July 14th and I will be 30 weeks by then....I am just worried that they are not growing right! We don't have a NICU unit at the hospital I am delivering at, so if they are too small they will have to life flight them to another hospital 2 hours away driving! I just want to make sure they are growing right! My doctor says they are growing right, but I am soooo skeptical! If anyone knows approximations of what they should weigh at 24 weeks please lemme know! Thanks!

I was amazed doing the math for diapers the first month with twins. If each twin goes through 8 diapers a day, (I heard 8-10 is the norm) we will change at least 448 diapers that month!!!! Hello diapers.com & free shipping if you buy 49$ at least. I am in shock!!!!

I am 28 weeks too with a boy and girl and I am super dizzy all of the time. The Dr told me not to drive, any one else have this? The Dr said the babies and blood work are all fine and I eat and drink tons...weird. Good luck moms!!

I am 28 weeks with twins, but so far I have just gained 10 lbs, means its between 10 to 8 lbs, I have GD, and because of that I really watch what i eat, but My doctor doesn't seems to be concerned about weight gain on the other hand my mom scared me that if you don't gain the weight, how babies going to gain weight? Secondly I am going for weekly US and OB visits as one twin has fallen from 25% of growth to 12 %, but doctors don't seems to be much concerned about that either, as they say, I have enough fluid around the babies and blood flow is shown fine. Don't understand, if everything is fine then why Twin A is not growing.

Hey all! New to this site and pregnant with 28 wk old twins! Our last ultrasound was on June 3rd and we found out one is a definite boy and the other they think is a girl! I have four other children and this pregnancy is completely different than the others! I am scared out of my wits! I want to deliver vag. and my doc says we can if they are both head down! Right now, they are laying across...baby a is soooo low to the cervix and I am scared I will deliver early! Hope everyone else is having a healthy pregnancy!

2boysontheway - my dr told me they'd be ready at 36 wks too but he still won't take them out unless I go into labor on my own. Oh well, good luck to you. I think i can hang in there 6 more weeks.

I'm on my 28th week and I'm starting to get stretch marks...is anyone getting them as well? Does any one know of a cream or something to prevent them? Any advice will be greatly appreciated.... Thanks and good luck to all of you!!!

mm masi-no trouble with the babies the doctor has said from day one that she will take them at 36 weeks(july 29th)twins are full term at 36 weeks.....so if they r done cooking at 36 weeks then i sure dont want to have to keep em in there...lol..if they end up having to stay in there for longer then i will cook em up longer...hopefully all is still well and only 4 weeks and 2 days to go!!!

Hey all... back from a wonderful holiday where it was so nice not to have to cook or clean! Anyways, I did my glucose screening test the day I got back (29 w 6 d) and it was so high that I have been sent to the diabetic pregnancy clinic. I thought that they do a fasting test first? Maybe because I am already 30 weeks they are going to skip it? Anyone else been diagnosed with gestational diabetes?

I've been getting scanned every 4 wks but I assume it will change my next scan is at 34, I think I will have one more at 36 then deliver at 38.

is anyone else only getting scanned every four weeks? i had my last scan on tues at 32+6, they gave me next appointment in 3 wks this time but thats so they can give me a date 2 induce me at 38wks if i havent gone by then naturally, she said i can keep them in longer if want though. i suppose its because they r measuring good and both head down, also they r in diff sacs.

I go to the docs weekly and have ultrasounds weekly as well as 3 NSTs a week. The NSTs are due to our complications. My docs told me right from the beginning they were taking them out no later than 36 weeks which I hear is pretty common and I was told that was full term for twins as well. In our case it is because they are identical and sharing a placenta. Their lungs should be fine by 32-34 weeks and if they are worried about it they can do an amnio to check or else give steroid shots to the mom. I had those already at 24 weeks due to PTL.

ok.... i talked to the doc and they r starting fetel moniotoring next week,twice a week because:they r taking the boys in 4 weeks from then....i go on the 1st of july for NST (fetel moniotoring)i go on the 3rd of july for a NST(fetel monitoring)and BPP(a sonogram)and my regular doc apt.....and continue to do this for the next 3 weeks after that....then babies!!!!! yea

2boysontheway - I turn 32 wks on Saturday and I start going in every 2 wks as well then every wks the last 4. My Dr won't take them out before 38 he refuses no matter how big they are. I'm probably going to have 2 8 pounders by then.

2boysontheway - I have been going for u/s and doc appointments ever since 18 weeks....in the last month (i'm 32 weeks now) i have started going weekly for both u/s and doc. As much as i hate speanding that much time at the doctors...i'm glad, so far everything has been good aside from one of the boys hasn't grown much recently...but everything else about him is good.

hey there everyone...i think every doc is different when it comes to a date for delivering twins,,,my doc said at our very first doctor apt. 'they r due aug 26th but we will take them before the end of july' im sure she wouldnt take them if she thought they were not ready....im sure im only dreaming about 35 weeks..lol...but let a girl dream...all the liteature on twins says '36 weeks is considered full term for twins'...has anyone else read this?? btw: i turn 32 weeks next tuesday and have to start going to the doctor 2xs a week...FETEL MONITORING~something about measuring their oxygen levels and all kinds of stuff PLUS an ultrasoud once a week for 5 weeks until delivery...anyone else going to do this???//she says we have to watch them very very close now...because this is when something could happen..omg....hope everyone is keeping their feet up this summer...

Charlotte - I think they are measuring great. My boys measured 2 lbs 6 oz at 26 wks and 3 lbs 14 oz at 30 wks. Seems you are right on.

I see my Dr. again in 2 weeks and I have another u/s in 2 weeks. Then I think I start seeing him every week. I have 6 more weeks to go.

Just got back from my 28 week scan and the boy is weighing 2lb 14 and the littel girl is 2lb 10 i have been told this is average... just wondered what your babies are weighing? Also the boy has turned again so he is feet first and she is still head down but facing my back!!! xxxx

How often will they check you now? I would say as long as . they keep on it I think it is normal especially with how far along you are. That is the problem you never know. I went into PTL 5.5 weeks ago and mine measured 3.7. I went on bed rest due to TTTS which is what caused the labor. Once that was cured my contractions came fewer and farther between. 3 weeks later after bed rest and no contractions it was a 2.5. Last week which I did not rest as much it was at 4 cm. I think they told me it can change too with where the babies are, the amount of pressure and if there is urine in your bladder (which they always make me empty mine before they check it).

Preggiebelly - my first bloodwork at 5 weeks measured in the 900's which was just about the 9 week margin. That's what got my dr. thinking I was carrying more than 1.
