I just got home from my doc appointment. I am 35+2days and my boys are 5lb 6oz and 6lb 6oz. Their weights are getting further apart every time, but doc says everything looks good! I am 1.5cm dialated and 70% effaced. He says I will probably go at least another 2 weeks! O and they are both breech, so I will have to get a c section which ive been praying this whole pregnancy i wouldnt have to do. Im so scared to even think about getting one that all i can do is cry! How are the rest of you holding out?

M.M.Masi - 5 hours ago
I went for my BPP this morning and they didn't measure the boys. They checked their heart beats, their fluid and their daiphram to make sure they were breathing. Everything looks great and they look chunky and cute. Aren't they suppose to get measured????

Finally got my induction date the 26th August i am so excited can't wait to meet the little monsters who have made mummy feel so poorly!! I will be 37 1/2 weeks x

TwinBoysR - 2 days ago
I was in for a NST this morning and I was contracting and oh could I feel it. They gave me an IV of fluid to make sure I am hydrated enough but who knows maybe my babies are just ready to come. I am 35 weeks and 4 days they really want them to come after 36. So I will do what I am told to keep them in!

twinstwice - 2 days ago
Anybody getting regular headaches? Every morning I wake up with one - and it doesn't matter if I eat right away or not. They usually go away after an hour. And I drink lots of water and milk so I don't think it is dehydration.

charlotte74 - 3 days ago
Just got back from my 32 week scan my little girl is weighing 4lb2 and my little boy is weighing 4lb10 both doing well and all average for the weeks! Back on Friday to see my consultant fingers crossed he will give me a date for my induction! x

ellianna88 - 3 days ago
I had my twins Rylan and Heidi on July 12th. Rylan was 4lbs 3 oz and Heidi was 3lbs11oz. They were born at 31weeks so they will be in the hospital for about 4 weeks and hopefully not any longer. They are both doing great!! It was a very scary day though. My uterus ruptured. Thank god I was already in the hospital when it happened or else things would have been fatal. Things are going pretty good, i'm still kind of sore. Good luck everyone else!!! Enjoy being pregnant I already miss it!!

M.M.Masi - 3 days ago
Happy4twins - Keep in mind that the weight the give you is not always accurate. My boys were always 2-3 oz apart and now they are like half a pound apart. You are doing a great job. My boys were almost 6 at 34 wks. I go for another u/s on Friday. My Dr. won't take them out before 38 no matter how much they weigh. Good luck.

happy4twins - 3 days ago
Hi all. I had an U/S today Baby A was 6lbs 13 oz Baby B was 6lbs 1 oz. I am 35 1/2 weeks and my doctor still wants them to be in there 2 more weeks. Which i think is crazy given their weight. Oh well i guess they will be good healthy big babies. I hope. Has anyone else had one twin grow much faster or bigger in the end. They have always been the same in weight now A is so much bigger. I am a little concerned.

spadoinkle - 4 days ago
had a dr appt today im 32 weeks. babay a is 3lbs 8 oz and baby b is 3 lbs 7 oz. baby b is catching up fast. everything looks good. they are beating me up a lot more lately. had a stress test and everythings good. i have to go back weekly for those now. im still working full time and doing house chores..probly not a good idea.. but it feels like theres so much to do and not much time left.

M.M.Masi - 4 days ago
Went to the Dr. today he was amazed I can still get around and work with the size of my belly and the twins. Thats reassuring but I would prefer he just moved up my date. I guess the longer the better. I find out Friday how big they are. I'm measuring 46 cm. He says big enough to hold a 15 lb baby.

thaynes54 - 4 days ago
Went back to the doctor today. Still dilated to 3 cm. Doctor is keeping me on bedrest until 36 weeks. So I have about 10 more days then he will let me have them. I can't wait. Getting excited and nervous it is almost over.

2boysontheway - 4 days ago
7 more days after today!!! i have a nst 2morrow and my last bpp and nst friday....i could not imagine having to go any longer than i have...hopefully everything stays as perfect for my boys this week as they have been...they r not expected to spend one second in the nicu at my 36 week delivery date.....im getting excited...my last bpp we could only get a picture of 'stones' face becausse 'sawyer' head is so low and in position.....

thaynes54 - 5 days ago
Just over 34 weeks now. Went into labor and delivery last night. I was having contractions 5 minutes apart. And of course the doctor stopped it again. They don't want me having the babies yet. I have to go into the office tomorrow, so hopefully he will give me a date that this will be over with. Bedrest is miserable and I'm ready to have this over.

3rdtimetwins - 5 days ago
I am 33 weeks now. Both my babies have their heads under my right rib, I can't sleep and I just want this all to be over. I have a 2yr old girl and a 3.5 yr old boy, I'm so worried that when the twins are born it's going to be crazy and I'm not going to be able to handle it. I have no available family to help me out as they all work or they live to far away. any coping suggestions?

M.M.Masi - 5 days ago
okay I made it to 35 wks and up until now I was really positive and thiniking that I could make it to 40 if I had to. I've been having so many BH that sometimes I wonder if I'm in labor without any pain. My tummy weighs a ton, when I stand up I feel like i'm going to fall forward and if I stand straight up I feel like i'm going to stretch till i pop. The weekends are the worse for me, i guess because it's so hot and I refuse to stop and rest. I keep thinking I can continue doing everything i have to, but c'mon I'm 35 wks with twin boys, what am I thinking that I'm going to get an award or something. I really need to STOP and rest if I plan on making it to my c-sec at 38 wks.

TwinBoysR - 5 days ago
35 Weeks! I am so crampy, moody, and wanting these babies in my arms :) how much longer is all i keep thinking.

twin2008mommy - 5 days ago
I just wanted to let everyone know that at my tuesday appointment they decided it was time to take the girls out. I had a c section and gave birth to Jaelyn Leigh and Jordyn Maya at 5:59 and 6:00 pm on July 15th. It was all very crazy, surreal, and too quick to digest. I was 34 weeks this week so they will have some NICU time, but it is all so amazing. I cannot WAIT to bring them home. They are the most precious little girls ever. I hope everyone is doing well. Feel free to ask any questions about the experience if you are worried. Good luck!

2boysontheway - 7 days ago

When I first got pregnant with this second set I spent forever on the internet looking up the odds. Anyways, I had found a page that contained info on multiple multiples, and found this new page with stats on multiple multiples and thought I would pass it along to make us all feel better - ENJOY! http://www.freewebs.com/facts-about-multiples/multiplemultiples.htm

SecondPregFirstTwins - 8 days ago
Yay, 36 weeks. C-Section on the 24th. My doc says he'll be surprised if I make that long. baby A has dropped so much and is in position. Plus I get BH so much now and are becoming quite uncomfortable. Starting to question if it is BH or the real deal. M-M-Masi, yes, I get period like cramps all the freakin time. Especially when I'm trying to sleep. It sucks. And I'm sure it is quite normal. Good Luck to you all ladies. I'm moving on up to the next forum.

M.M.Masi - 8 days ago
Both my boys have been head down since 30 weeks or maybe before. They don't have anyroom to move anymore.

MotherNature9 - 8 days ago
JUST A BRIEF QUESTION. ALTHOUGH THIS IS MY SECOND SET OF TWINS, IT IS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT FROM THE FIRST. MY BABIES DON'T WANNA STAY TURNED. FOR THE PASS TWO MONTHS THEY HAVE BEEN BREECHED. DR. SAIDS AS LONG AS BABY GIRL TURNS (WHICH TWIN A) I CAN HAVE A VAGINAL DELIVERY. THIS IS WHAT I WANT BECAUSE I AM SCARED TO DEATH OF C-SECTION. I'M TRYING NOT TO WORRY OR LET MY HUSBAND KNOW THAT I'M WORRIED, BUT I AM. I'M EXTREMELY FRIGHTENED. I WILL BE 34 WEEKS TOMORROW. SO MY QUESTION IS, HOW SOON ARE THEY SUPPOSE TO TURN AND STAY TURNED? HOW LONG WILL THE DOCTOR GIVE ME FOR THEM TO TURN? THIS SECTION SAIDS THAT IF THEY'RE NOT TURNED BY THE 36TH WEEK, THEN THEY ARE NOT LIKELY TO CHANGE BEFORE DELIVERY. PLEASE LET ME KNOW. I KNOW THAT ONLY GOD TRULY KNOWS HOW THIS IS GONNA GO, BUT I WANNA KNOW LIKE NOW:) STILL MAINTAINING AND PRAYING THOUGH!!

mommy2bmay08 - 8 days ago
Woohoo 32 weeks! I am so happy to have made it to this section!Babies look great - A weighs 4 lb 3 oz and B weighs 4 lb 6.5 oz. The doctors will induce me in 4.5 weeks if I make it that far. I am definitely feeling the pain and discomfort of this pregnancy. 4.5 weeks can't come soon enough. I have gained 55 lbs so far and I find it really hard to breath. Not long yet though that is what I keep telling myself to make it through!!!

M.M.Masi - 8 days ago
Is anyone else having period like cramping?

2boysontheway - 8 days ago
mmmasi ~ i have been getting a bpp once a week for three weeks and will have one on friday and another next week...

momof3plus2 - 8 days ago
Yay 34 weeks yesterday! Baby A is 5lb 11oz, and Baby B is 5lbs! I am so excited to hold my babies soon. I am 60% effaced and 1cm dialated! I hope the last weeks go by very quickly, I am in so much pain anymore. Im only 5'3 and have gained almost 60lbs, which makes it very hard to move around and care for my other 3! I hope all you girls are feeling great and good luck to those of you who will be delivering soon!!

jordan82 - 9 days ago
my doc is gonna let me do a vaginal birth...which i'm quite happy about. i'm going to be induced on wednesday....(6 more days)....baby a is 6'3 and b id 6....carring around 12 pounds of baby....so far i have gained 21 pounds...not to shabby....so excited to meet my little men.

twinstwice - 9 days ago
One other thing - they have added a forum on the babies section for multiples so that we can continue to chat about what life is like and share experiences after we have had those babes! Just wanted to let you all know.

twinstwice - 9 days ago
Hey all - congrats to all of you! I am now 32 weeks and found out that my doc won't induce me until my 38th week if I don't go into labour on my own before that! So close yet so far away! I wonder how I will be feeling then?

M.M.Masi - 9 days ago
Can anyone tell me if they've had a Bio-physical Profile done. I was called back the day of my last U/S and told to come back at 36 weeks for a BPP. Not really given a reason other than them wanting to check out the babies before I go into labor. Your thoughts are appreicated.

mummy-of-1-plus-twinboys - 9 days ago
i had my little boys on 11/07/08, it was a natural spontaneous vaginal delivery, i was 35wks+2. Andrew Dylan was born at 10.08pm weighing 5lb9 and Logan Garrie was born at 10.18pm weighing 5lb 4. Both boys were healthy and were home by sunday lunchtime, were all settling in fine and its so good to beable to sleep and move about properly. i started mixed feeding, bottle and breast in the hospital as i felt it was good skin to skin contact and bonding with them but found it to be tiring and long because they are so small and just wanted to sleep, they werent getting much so i expressed some colostrum and gave them it in syringes, then the morning i left i decided bottle only. as i have a 22month old girl and knew it would be too much and giving bottles does leave them fuller longer, they dont work as hard to get it and me and my partner gets to share the feedings and quality cuddling time with them. my daughter also helps hold the bottle and this allows her to get involved. Its always worth giving breastfeeding a chance the benefits are far greater for babies but can be really difficult for us mums. But as i always say u dont know til u try and its always worth trying.

I've found that I'm in horrible pain at night if I have to go pee, so I've opted for no liquids have 8:30PM. This helps alot. I've also been getting very stuffed up at night when I sleep so I've gotten some Vicks Vapor Rub and rub it on my forehead and nose before going to bed, this also helps me sleep through the night. If I get up to pee I reapply the Vicks and get another good 3-4 hrs sleep. I haven't figured out what to do about my hips getting numb at night but at least I'm sleeping. Hope this helps.

julesxpecting2 - 9 days ago
Hi, all. I'm 33 weeks, 3 days, and hanging in there. A little worried about having to go to the hospital on Thursday if my cervical length is less then 2.0. Been having BH for a while now, but this morning I'm feeling particularly ookey this AM. Not sure, but I think I'm gradually losing my mucous plug. Not getting much sleep, either, which I'm seeing is pretty common around here, haha. My OB is out of town this week, so I'm praying Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum hold off at least until Sunday!

sibandtwins - 10 days ago

SecondPregFirstTwins - 10 days ago
Wow, I have 9 days to go. I am really getting anxious and nervous. I really hope my boys will be able to come home with me. I had a break down at 2a.m. this morning. I am soo frustrated cause I can't sleep anymore. I get painful braxton hicks at night, muscle spasms, I get so stuffed up I can't breathe, and I go to the bathroom so frequently. I am starting to question why I even try to sleep. And to top it off, my husband lost his patience with me. He doesn't understand what I am going through with this pregnancy. It is really difficult. With my first born, I loved being pregnant, I enjoyed everything about it. I am trying really hard to enjoy this one, but when you get this far along, all the discomforts make it hard to enjoy. I feel quilty enough as it is wanting these babies out. My husband needs to just be sympathetic and caring to my needs for 9 more days. That would make me feel a lot better. I barely ask him for anything. All I want is for him to say, how are you doing, and maybe offer to rub my back or just anything to show he cares. I know he does, but it has been a long road for the both of us. We are almost there. Sorry ladies, I had to vent. I had a rough morning.

M.M.Masi - 11 days ago
oh, another thing about breast feeding, I'm selfish and over protective of my children. I don't want to be sharing feeding time with anyone. If I breastfeed I know it's all mommy time and I love it. Everytime I've been around someone with a new born I've seen other woman but in and say let me feed m for you so you can have a break, I hate that. I don't want a break from my child, I carried them for 9 months, better believe I want to spend every minute of every day with them. Just my 2 cents.

happy4twins - 11 days ago
I am finally 35 weeks and each day is like torture. I know it is best to keep them in there 2 more weeks but it is so hard. For the most part i feel ok when i am sitting on the couch. But it is so hard to do. I just want to be able to go to the mall or out with friends. When i attempt to get out i just end up feeling miserable. Everything hurts and it is just not worth it. I cant wait to have my babies on the outside of me. I want to be able to bend over, paint my toes, go shopping, hold my 3 year old. Well anyways enough venting. I am glad this forum allows for that. I am so almost there.

jordan82 - 11 days ago
lmao...i have twins on the brain obviously ...in my first line in my last post i meant to say she is TWO weeks more than me

jordan82 - 11 days ago
argh...people really irritate me...my boyfriends 16 year old cousin is pregnant she is twins weeks more than i am, and her mom has seem to make it a competion or something....when i found out i was having twins, all of a sudden, she might be having twins too (not the case), when my doctor was concerned about one of my babies not getting enough nutrients and thought we might deliver a little earlier than planned....the cousins mom is all like yay whitney is gonna go in to labour before that...i didn't want my babies to come earlier cuz i know the longer they can stay in there the better...despite how uncomfortable i am...when i saw they at my boyfriends moms birthday...they were like, you haven't even dropped yet, whitney has, her baby is comin any day now...blah blah blah...why would they wish that for her....now that i have a date for my c-section whitney seems to have started having contractions, instead of being concerned that it might be a little to ealry still they are urging on the little baby and not going to the hospital to have everything checked out...its not a freakin competion....my little brother came early and i was old enough to remember what it was like for him in the NICU..not fun....grrrr... people are sooo selfish....and really need to grow up. sorry had to vent!!! mum2twins - masi is right it is a very personal desicion...i myself am going to try my hardest to breastfeed...its really important to me and my partner I really truely believe the benefits are worth it. whatever you chose good luck!!!

M.M.Masi - 11 days ago
mum2twins - It is a very personal decision that take a lot of commitment from your part. If you want your babies to have all the benefits of breast milk then you should make the sacrifice. I will be trying my hardest to feed my twins. I fed my first and never had any problems. Yes I fed her often, and yes it seemed like forever, but it was worth it. The reason why it may appear easier to bottle is because it is harder for babies to digest formula therefore they are satisfied longer between feedings and sleep longer. So again it is up to you. Also you may want to look into it being cost effective for you. I know that it would put alot of stress on us to be purchasing formula for 2 babies at a time. Hope this helps.

mum2twins-yay - 11 days ago
There is one thing bugging me at present, and that is whether or not i'm going to breastfeed. I was wondering what everyone else was planning on doing. My midwife plans to get me some help at home when the twins arrive but i'm still unsure, as I have a friend who just gave birth to a singleton and she had terrible trouble getting her to feed and would spend hours at her breast and that is with just one baby, I know everybodies experience are different but i'm so undecided. My friends who bottle feed their babies seem to be much more content and sleep longer.

M.M.Masi - 12 days ago
My sister came over and helped me straighten out the boys room. We did 6 loads of laundry, just baby stuff. They have so much stuff, it's unbelievable. I'm going to wash their crib sets this week and prepare our bags. I'm so excited!

TwinBoysR - 12 days ago
I am 34 weeks pregnant with my boys and I have had a very smooth pregnancy. I can not wait until the babies come. Once I hit the magical 37 weeks I am going to pray to go into labor ! I can not wait to get comfortable! hehe.

thaynes54 - 12 days ago
The doctor finally let me come home yesterday. Taking procardia 3 times a day. Have to go back on the 21st for another check-up. He still has me on bedrest. It is really hard when you have a 7 and 4 year old at home. My family is helping, but sometimes I just feel like a burden to them. But this will all be over soon.
