I have a questions for all of you mommies expecting twins that have had previous c-sections:::::: Is your Doctor saying that you'll need to have another c-section with your twins due to a previous c-section?

amanda- lucky you. wish mine was amazing in a good way too, but mine is amazingly unpredictable. 1st preg it wouldn't cooperate with dilating and this time it is trying too fast.

Just had my dr appt today. Looks like my cervix is opened 1 centimeter, but it is still really high up so no worries yet. Dr actually said 'ur cervix is amazing!', lol how often to do u hear that kind of compliment! But I am now measuring @ 44 wks so yeah not sure how much further my stomach is going to be willing to stretch!

Hello, ladies! I just hit my 35th week today. I had a doctor's appointment two days ago and both baby boys are doing great. They're both head down and my cervix is completely shut and at it's normal length. The doctors say I can deliver naturally, and I plan to get the epidural. I'll be delivering in the OR just in case they have to do a c-section at last moment. I'm still active, although my energy is super low. The docs say there's no need for me to go on bed rest as long as I continue the way I am. I feel really lucky that everything has gone so smooth so far. I'm glad to read that the women who have already delivered are doing well. I hope to make it to 37 weeks at least so the boys will be good to go. I wish the best for each and every one of you, you just hang in there!

My babies position Baby A head down baby B breech. Hope b turns for natural birth. Doc said still can turn. Was told it is best to do C section if B stays breech as there is a 15% chance of emergency c section with baby B if i attempt a natural birth. I don't fancy double recovery from natural birth with A and c section with B. Will just have to wait and see positions when it is time. My babies weigh 6.25 lbs and 5lbs at growth scan last week. Had H1N1 shot last night, weighed up all the risks and in the end came to decision that it is riskier not to have it, babies will be immune for 6 Months now.

Honestly, whatever is safest for you and your babies=) As far as I'm concerned birth plans are a complete waste of time! You never know what will happen in labour!!!

My doc is pretty conservative as far as delivery so if it doesn't look totally perfect as far as baby position then I get a c-section. A couple months ago this would have really upset me but since he has helped me so much with keeping these kids in thru 9 wks of bedrest & contractions I have changed my opinion to 'whatever he decides is best is what I will do'. I am not going to get stuck on my 'birthplan' when he has gotten me so far with giving these kids a healthier shot in the world and has way more experience with all this twin high risk preggo stuff than I would ever want to.

I reallly don't want a c-section either. I'm 32 weeks now, and one is head down and other is breech, so fingers crossed i can do it the natural way. Amandamoon,I only have a 2 yr old to take care of, never mind a 1 yr and 3 yr old!!! Good for you. Fingers crossed that your first baby is head down. My doc says first baby must be head down and second can be either for a natural birth.

I really don't want a c-section either, but it looks like that is what I will have to have since the girl is breech on bottom. But, the plus side of that is it will buy me 2 more weeks at home with the twins before having to go back to work.

Hello everyone! I'm officially 34 weeks today. And I will tell u, if I could I would so be done now! I'm exhausted all the time, I've got one of the babies heads glued to my ribs so now I can't even sit without being in pain, and @ my last dr visit I'm measuring @ 42 weeks! Dr said @ 36 weeks we will do an u/s to check the status of the babies and if they r in the right position and are looking good then they will let me go naturally, if they r not positioned right then we will schedule a c-section. Which I really really really don't want. I've got a 3 year old and 1 year old to take care of so I can be laid out for that long. Anyone else have a set plan w ur dr about the possibly delivery date?

I have had contractions since week 22. Apparently some of them were not just BH b/c my cervix has shortened. It is strange though b/c I have been getting my cervix measured every week for the past 10 weeks now and sometimes I swear my cervix will change b/c the contractions were more often and very hard but there is no change, and other times I hardly feel any contractions but they were enough to change my cervix significantly. I have also had the back pains in conjunction with the contractions. Since everyone is different and every pregnancy is different (my 1st preg my cervix wouldn't dilate and made for 82hr labor so ironic is isn't cooperating in the opposite way now) I would just suggest getting yourself checked out if you feel like you are not sure if the contractions are doing anything or not.

Hi Ladies, I am 34 wks with my twin girls and had a lot of crampings a few weeks ago. And could never decide if its labor or not. Some useful hints from doctor and nurses: if it's periodic and at least 4 in an hour it's better to check it out. After the second one go to the bathroom, empty your bladder, drink some water and lay down to your left side. The cramps may stop then. If you were laying down when it started, then try to walk. Change in activity can change Braxton Hicks, but true labor never stops, whatever you do. For me the cramps were probably the sign, that I really needed to stop. Now as I am resting most of the time they completely stopped.
