The things no one tells you no.21:
longing to lie on your Belly again?
Mumofsix` featured blog about things no one tells you.
`I thought I would, every now and then,
add a little bit of info that
took me by surprise with my first baby.`
My mood while writing this blog: Ok
I remember with my first pregnancy that I could not wait to be able to sleep on my tummy again or to lie on the floor. The time finally arrived, the bump was gone so I rolled onto my tummy only to find that my milk filled boobs were too sore to lie on and my back really hurt. It took me a few months to be able to lie on my tummy. The back was the worst thing. It takes a good 6 weeks for your ligaments that have been stretched and flexible to regain strength and stabilise again. The point I am trying to make is don't expect to be able to have that sleep on your tummy you have been longing for.

Jools73 - Tuesday, 17 Feb OOh yes, I can't wait for this!! Our baby is due tomorrow ( although no signs as of yet) But I used to always sleep on my tummy with my arms tucked under my pillow. During the last few weeks my hips have been aching on either side so constantly waking to shuffle around and not sleeping too good right now, just wish the baby was already here now so at least during those waking hours I could be feeding!!

peanuts mommy - Tuesday, 5 Aug By the second night after my baby was born I was sleeping on my stomach again. It felt so good. They kept the baby in the nursery because the nurse said I was snoring so loudly that she didn't want to wake me to nurse. I felt rested for a change.
Kristiana - Sunday, 20 Jul I have slept on my stomach since I was really little.. I'm not quite 17 weeks along and I already find it hard mostly having to sleep on my sides. It just makes my hips hurt more and I am constantly tossing and turning. My poor husband even says that my tossing and turning keeps him awake at nights!
MsMistiM - Monday, 2 Jun Is it harmful to lay on your tummy? I am a tummy sleeper, and I am now 36 weeks. And I lay on my side, as laying on my back is painful to me. But I always end up on my stomach whenever I wake up. Its not harming the baby from what I have read, but it concerns me sometimes. If you look on my page, I have quite a baby bump...lol...only 4 more weeks until I meet my precious!!
justnix - Monday, 2 Jun Awww... and if it's one thing I'm looking forward to is falling asleep on my tummy again! It's so boring just having your sides to sleep on and now my stomach is getting to big to lie on my back :-p
