I need to know whether it is normal for one to have a normal menstrual cycle while breatfeeding.

Mommyof2boys - 146 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Hey its normal and different for everyone, my friend started hers while breastfeeding and I didn't start mine for a year and a half.

mommy-of-3 - 146 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I have heard that it can throw off your cycle. If yours is not normal right now I wouldn't worry at all, it's normal for that to happen. I think it's a hormonal thing the reason it gets thrown off.

mattie4 - 146 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i didnt have a period until i slowed down with the breastfeeding (introduced solids), but while i was exclusively breastfeeding i didnt have one. thats just my experience though, i am sure like everything else, all experiences are never the same. :)

candace3 - 146 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) It can take months before your cycle is normal while breastfeeding.

LMO - 148 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) yea it is normal some women dont have regular periods until they stop breastfeeding but others do

MelissaJoanne - 148 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Yes it is normal. People breastfeed for years and have a normal cycle while doing so.

2nd1ontheway - 149 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I got my first period while I was still breast feeding. I got mine at 8 weeks.

ttasha - 149 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) ive been told that when your breastfeeding your period shouldnt start back again for another couple of months but mine started bk 8 weeks after so i think it all depends on your body

luisa - 149 days ago It's amazing how many response i got from you ladies. What i knew or heard was, one could really have a cycle while breasfeeding, but we all differ. Knowing that it's my first child and i thought of asking anyways. Thanks :0)

expectingnumb3 - 153 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I have breastfed both of my children and still had a period. The ist one I was on the mini pill a lower dos of the pill. The secounf one I had a period for awhile but it tapered off due to the depo shot. i work with a girl who had a baby in sept and she is still nursing. She is on the mini pill and has not had a period yet. It varies from person to person. She actually thought you did not get one if you were breastfeeding. me and a few girls had to inform her that yes you can,, it just varies. She is just one of the lucky ones.

HollieNJax - 154 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) It is normal to have a normal period while breastfeeding. Sometimes it will take longer to get it to a regular cycle but you can have one and you can get pregnant while you're breastfeeding. That is a common misconception that gets some people in trouble!!!

choppork5426 - 154 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i have always thought and heard u dont get ur perod while u breastfeed.hmm thats weird

maried278 - 155 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Yes. With my first child they didn't come back until he was 8 months old, however, with my second son, I had to have a D&C when he was 10 weeks old as the hospital had left a large chunk of placenta in me!! My periods returned to normal straight after the D&C.

meghan815 - 155 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Yes, some women have their menstrual cycle while breastfeeding and others don't. My Mother had one with my brother, but when she had me it didn't return for a while!

Laura Ward - 155 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) All women are different. For some, breastfeeding will delay a menstraul cycle the entire time they are nursing. For others, their cycle will return quicker. Mine came back when my son was 11 months old.

katznkt - 156 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Yes it is, it is also quite possible to get pregnant before you think you are on a normal cycle, so watch out!

SRHMKP - 156 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) WELL I USED A BREAST PUMP BUT ALL THE SAME YES I HAD A NORMAL CYCLE, IT DIDNT DELAY COMING AT ALL.
