I`m 11 weeks with my second baby and I have been grow hair in places that it wasn`t before. Darker longer hair on my legs and stray ones in places they weren`t before. Has anyone had experience with this or what it could mean?

apilalas - 106 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i have belly fuzz now, its most likely due to hormones

Carmione - 107 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Did someone say hair? Yes I have developed the furriness often associated with raging preggie hormones-Days after shaving it seems as if it's a losing battle. Hair is also appearing where it normally wouldn't have been spotted. I talked to my dr the other day because I basically shaved my mane down to the good natural unprocessed/altered hair because once all of this is over, hormones are going to cause my hair to thin out anyways. No sense in the waste of money to maintain what's going to fall out anyways. I would rather indulge once Bunny is here! Stray hairs don't mean a thing to me, it's only temporary and right now thank goodness!

LMO - 107 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) hormones are so crazy, i know i hated it i would get like a happy trail

MelissaJoanne - 107 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) It's very normal. Hormones will do that to you.

2nd1ontheway - 108 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Hormones cause all kinds of crazy things to happen.

tamaraleigh - 108 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Pregnanty does some weird things to the body. Its just hormones at their best. Just wait until you can't shave the hair off. =)

ttasha - 108 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i had hairs growing on my stomach which i thought was weird

nich-vegas-mommy2be - 108 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I have heard this is normal, hair growing in places that it wasn't growing before! I have dark hair growing around my bellybutton - and I have very pale skin - so it stands out that much more. I can't stand it! I don't know if it will go away after the baby is here, but I am praying it will!!

Mommyof2boys - 108 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) your hormones and vitamins will make you grow grow and grow hair sometimes everywhere :)

septmommie - 109 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Old wives tale says it's a boy!!

captlinda - 111 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) You can thank your hormones for that =)

mcrlover - 112 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I have that too! So I'm guessing its normal.

pregnantegyptian - 113 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I believe that almost every pregnant woman experiences that because i have the thickest black hairs on my stomach. So you are not alone.

kayleighrobo - 113 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i did they go and fade to a lighter colour once youve had your baby just try not to shave them because my midwife told me to shave them i wont tell u where and they ended up staying lol x

jodiie - 114 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) its completely normal lol i have them just under my belly button.. they come in the most unwanted places !lol but it does say it is safe to wax tweeze or shave them off if you really dont want them there

Mrs.M.H. - 114 days ago Thanks to everyone for the insight, I last went through this 6 years ago so it is very different this time. Age must have some kind of impact on things too. Thanks again and lets all hope that we don't look like men by the time we through! Cheers!

OurBabyBean0508 - 114 days ago Rating: 4.5 (4 votes) The hormones estrogen and progesterone are responsible for your hair growth. Pregnancy causes a significant rise in both hormone levels, which can result in strange side effects, such as excessive hair growth. They are the same hormones that will cause your fingernails to grow longer and faster during pregnancy, and make your hair either silky and luxurious, or dry and brittle! It all depends on YOUR hormone levels and how your body responds. Plus, every pregnancy is different! With my first my nails grew like crazy, my hair became silky and my complexion cleared. With this pregnancy my hair feels dry and dead and my acne is absolutely impossible to manage. Just one of the fun side effects of pregnancy! Don't you wish we could all pick and choose our symptoms? "I'll take long luxurious hair, strong nails and a glowing complexion please!" lol Good luck doll.

jessicadarling - 114 days ago Rating: 4.3 (4 votes) It is completely normal to turn in to teen wolf while pregnant. The hormones that make your hair grow like crazy on your head also makes hair grow in other places of the body. All the places that I had white baby hairs turned dark on me! I have a darker treasure trail and I feel totally manly. I have been told that it will fall out once baby is born and the hormones get back to normal.

diamaganda - 114 days ago Rating: 3.5 (4 votes) its normal the horomones in your body makes you grow more hair everywhere i have hairs on my tummy all the way up tomy belly button and my friend grow hair on her boobies lolz but its normal! it should just fall off after the baby comes

vikki - 114 days ago Rating: 2 (3 votes) Oh I think you're alright. I have Massive hair growth during pregnancy and great nails! Leg shaving and underarm can become quite the drag. My hair ( on my head I might add LOL) is now down to my knees! The Progesterone can do that and not every pregnacy is the same. If you have another one, this may again happen or not. :-) So all in all, it's normal!

godblessmybaby - 114 days ago Rating: 3.3 (4 votes) my hair grew faster and nail greww faster as well and also I have a tiny wart on my leg and now as I'm pregnant it much bigger eeew, doc said after pregnancy it will go back to it's normal size

windchime - 114 days ago Rating: 1.5 (4 votes) I have also heard that if it's a boy you might get more hairy because of the extra testostarone, but I doubt this would occur at only 11 wks.

Laura Ward - 114 days ago Rating: 2.8 (4 votes) During pregnancy, your body produces extra hormones which can account for the extra hair growth. My hair grew MUCH faster while I was pregnant. Also, prenatal vitamins promote hair growth!
