Hot to add pictures?

There used to be a tutorial on how to add pics to your profile page rather than put them in your photo album. Anyone remember the site we are suppose to go to-to get the html for our photo???

Option 1: Pictures from the internet

You can add any picture you want to your Vip page. All you need is the URL of the picture. An image or photo url ALWAYS starts with http:// and ends with .jpg , .gif or .png.
For example, the Yahoo! logo has the url http://us.i1.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/i/ww/beta/y3.gif
To figure out the url of a picture you see online you can do this:

1. Right click on the photo
2. Left click on properties

1. Right click on the address
2. Left click on `select all`
3. Right click on the address again
4. Left click on `copy`

You now have the url copied in your clipboard.
Go to your vip page
Open the editor by clicking on the yellow `edit my page` button.

1. click on the camera

1. Right click in the white Photo URL field
2. Left click on `Paste`
3. click on the Preview button
4. click on the OK button

All done!

Option 2: Pictures from your own computer

Often, the picture you'd like to add isn't on the internet yet. It comes for example from your digital camera or phone and resides somewhere on your pc. No-one can see this picture but you, and that's good. You don't want anyone to look around in your pc!

In order to publish it, for the whole world to see, we upload it to the internet. Here's how:

• Go to http://www.imageshack.us/
  
  
  
  
  1. Click `Browse` to find the picture you want to add
  2. Enter your email address if you're not already registered
  3. Check the resize checkbox, choose 320x240
  4. Click on `host it!`
     
     
• Wait until this appears:
  
  
  
  
• Copy the marked field http:blablabla.jpg This is the url you can give to people, include in an email or add to webpages!
  
  
• Go to your Vip page
  
  
  
  
• Click `Click here to edit my page`
  
  
  
  
  1. Click on the camera
  2. Enter the url you just copied from imageshack
  3. Click `Preview`
  4. Click `OK`
