Every woman and every pregnancy is different. So many of us compare ourselves and our symptoms to everyone else we know who is pregnant, but in the end it comes down to what's normal for your body. As long as the doctor says everything is fine then there is no need to worry.

Your tummy isn't going to poke out as much as the next preggie mama- think of it this way- the more noticable change in other women's belly can be a result of them gaining weight too rapidly, laxed abdominal muscles, it may not be their first baby- and all women carry differently- even with each subsequent pregnancy. Your day for the belly to shine will come soon enough- I wouldn't stress too much over it.

Some other women grow to what they consider to be embarrassingly huge. You may stay smaller, you may balloon later in pregnancy. Your body is doing the best job that it can to keep your baby safe and healthy, and that should make you feel excited and proud. Work your little bump.

Me and my friend are a week apart and couldn't look more different. Everyone thinks I'm way ahead of her. Your doctor would like you know if he's concerned.

I am right there along with you, only nobody can tell that I am pregnant. I was speaking with a woman at my daughter's school today, and she asked, "what have you been doing lately running marathons?" (it's obvious that I have lost weight, 31 lbs) anyway, I said "no, just throwing up" She looked at me with so much concern. then I told her I was pregnant. She was visibly shocked, with her mouth hung open. She managed to mutter a "how far along?" "22 weeks"
did you ever see the cartoons where their eyes bulge out of their heads?? well, that was her. She spent all of last year talking to me every day, and seeing me everyday since September. She said that she never would have guessed in a million years bc I am not showing at all. It's kinda nice to hear that people think I look good, but holy cats, I really thought it was apparent to everyone around me by now. I guess I was wrong. That was the third time that happened in a week.
Oh well, less to lose after, right?!?!

I did. I never looked as far a long as I was. On my due date I didn't look 9 months pregnant. People told me through my entire pregnancy how small I was and how low I carried. That's just how I carry.

I'm not even quite to 4 months yet and I'm already showing. Enjoy the fact that you probably don't have to rubber band your pants together yet. lol
Don't worry, eventually your time will come and you'll grow your baby bump.

Same goes for me. I'm 5 1/2 months pregnant, when I tell people that, they look at me as if i'm crazy! Its really annoying, because everyone's body is different therefore we will obviously look different. As long as the baby is the right size and is developing then you don't have to worry about the size of your belly. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy.

Everybody use to tell me that I was small. I swear it use to get on my nerves. My doctor measured me too and said that I was perfect. It made me feel much better but I still wanted that "pregnant bump". I mean, I had a little "bump" but I guess it didn't look like I was a far as I was. By 7 months everybody was talking the opposite. "you really blew up"... so on and so on. Then it started to make me self concious of if I was getting too big. Trust me, don't even pay them any mind. Everybody's body is different.

I didn't really show at all until 6 months. I'm now 8 months and have only gained 5 pounds. The Dr. said that this pregnancy is going healthy. so nothing to worry about I think you are fine.

i am 24 weeks and on the weekend i took my daughter to her friend from schools party, and had 3 mothers i knew from school say in surprise 'oh you're pregnant!!' they had no idea, it was only that it was a pool party and we were all in togs. some people just show differently, but in a way its a good thing, you will probably be much less likely to get stretch marks, as your tummy may not stretch out as much!

I didn't start showing until I was 6 months pregnant. Then all of a sudden I just kept growing and there was no missing it. I would have loved to show sooner because I wanted the world to know I was pregnant, so I know how you feel. I wouldn't be concerned, however, if your doctor is not.

some women just carry different. I am one of those women who would never be able to hide a pregnancy. It's so obvious. Just give it some time and you will probably get bigger. With my first, I was past 22 weeks before I started showing to people who didn't already know. The 2 times after that was like BAM!! You will start to show...don't worry. If your doctor says your ok then I'm sure you are just give it a little more time!
