I am 23 weeks pregnant and my baby is breeched. I am concerned that she will not turn. The doc said she should turn in the last month if not a c-section is in my future. How will I know when she turns? The doc says he`s not going to do another u/s I`ve had the 2 that he`s going to give me.

I wouldn't worry about that being that your are only at week 23, your baby will probably change position several times between now and when it's time for delivery. For the majority of women the baby turns during the last few weeks before delivery. Some even wait until the very last minute but your doctor will be able to tell you towards the end how the baby is lying.

In all of my pregnancies the babies turned around 34 weeks, you have lots of time.

you still have plenty of time for your baby to turn, try not to worry too much. The dr can feel how your baby is laying without the u/s. There are positions and exercises that you can get into to help the baby turn naturally. :)

Check out spinningbabies.com
I haven't given birth yet myself, but I've heard that this site has great exercises to properly position your baby.

My last baby (now 3 weeks) was breech. we found out at 28 weeks and at 32 weeks he was still breech. Finally at 35 weeks he turned. You have MONTHS. Chances are baby will turn.

I'm 31 weeks and my baby is butt first. Doctors can easily tell the position of the baby without the ultrasound. Don't worry he still has plenty of time to flip.

As far as i can remember my baby didn't turn until 27 weeks, I had a really bad nights sleep the night before and the next morning i had really bad heartburn, it was only later that day that i realised i was getting kicked in the ribs and that the baby had turned. You have plenty of time yet for the baby to turn and when you are examined by dr or midwife thay are able to feel which way round the baby is, so don't fret. All the best. xxx

I had my baby turn head down at 26 weeks, then i was overdue and i started seeing a chiropractor for some positioning massage. This was just to kick start labour and it caused him to turn over. I had a breech baby anyway, went through labour thinking he was head down and at 10cm ended up in the OR. I've also heard about accupuncture that can turn the baby by applying some heat to your baby toe of your right foot. Its turn rate is over 90%. I woundn't worry till later though- he's got lots of time to turn yet. When baby turns over you will see lots of activity (way more than normal) and maybe feel funny- like a little nauseated. I would also consider getting a doula for your delivery if you are going to go into labour if you are concerned that your doctor will not be helpful. Its wonderful to have a professional with you. I had a midwife, and even when I had to go to sugery, she stayed with me the entire time.

I felt my daughter turn at around 33 weeks. Don't worry you have plenty of time of her to turn. Your Dr will be able to feel her if she's breech or not. I can feel my daughters butt sicking up in the air, and my Dr felt her head down low when he checked my cervix.

at 23 weeks, i really wouldn't worry, there is plenty of room for bub to turn, in my last pregnancy, my daughter went from breech at 24 weeks, to transverse at 28 to head down after that. this was what my doctor told me at my appointment, and im SURE she actually turned way more that that, baby can be real little movers and shakers, especially in the second trimester while they still have room!

The baby still has plenty of time of turning, 95% of babies are born head down position and some of those babies stay breech up until its time and then they turn on their own. The doctor should be able to tell if you are breech in the end because your labor will not progress like it should and if he's real concerned he will do another u/s before doing a c-section to make sure. Good luck!

Because the baby still has some room to move around, it is still a great possibility that she could turn herself into the head down position. You will be able to feel her turning and you will also feel her kicking in your ribs. Ask your doctor about an external cephalic version--where they can manually turn her by pressing on your stomach. Best wishes!

You'll probably be able to FEEL her turn, a movement of that magnitude is pretty uncomfortable. Our little one turned head down at 28 weeks (and BOY did I feel it). Once she does turn you will notice that you feel the kicks up high in your abdomen (kicks are more forceful than punches) and you will probably feel some pressure in your pelvis or against your bladder. Once they turn they usually stay that way (of course ours didn't) and your doctor will start feeling for the baby's position through your abdomen as she gets larger. They can tell you with a good amount of certainty what position she is in just by feeling your stomach and asking you where you feel her kick. Good luck doll! I hope she turns head down and stays that way. ;)
