I personally am on Blue Plus (Blue Cross Blue Shield) but to explore your options you should try doing an internet search for pregnancy and insurance and see what pops up.

which ever you choose, make sure you ask about pre-existing conditions. Some companies wont cover you if you are already pregnant and may require a waiting period before your bennies kick in. I had a friend run into that problem and it became more of a headache than anything else. If you feel that you have been treated unfairly you can always lodge a complaint with your state insurance board and they will write a letter on your behalf to the offending insurance company. :) good luck in your search.

It is going to be hard to find a good insurance plan if you are already pregnant.

If you're not pregnant yet you may want to look into Blue Cross Blue Sheild. They have individual plans for about $120 a month and you can purchase maternity coverage for an extra $60-$150 depending on the amount of coverage you're looking for. Unfortunately there IS a waiting period before you can start trying to conceive, I believe BCBS is 90 days. Other companies will have comparable (or maybe even better) coverage but you will have to endure a 1-2 year waiting period before you can use your benefits. If you are already pregnant then there are very few options where insurance is concerned. There's a program called Maternity Card where they will attempt to negotiate smaller bills at one of their chosen providers for a small fee, but other than that you would be forced to look into getting prenatal care through your local health department for a small fee. Good luck doll, I hope you are blessed with the baby you seek.
