As you know I`m 35 weeks along. My baby hasn`t been moving around as much as it should the last few days. Can anyone please tell me if it means the baby is going be born soon if it starts moving less? Please & thank you!

This is really normal because when you are nearing your due date and baby is basically "full grown" there is no longer any room left for he or she to tumble around in. The baby is in a confined area with their legs folded up in a cramped position. As long as you're still feeling some type of movement there is no need to worry.

i wouldn't worry too much, i had the same problem too! i was told that baby is growing bigger, therefore, there will be less room for baby to move.

I wouldn't be overly concerned unless all activity has ceased. The closer you get to your due date, the less room baby has to move around- just think of baby getting his/her rest before the big debut day, they have a little bit of work to do themselves! :)

If you feel movements atleast some point during the day, I wouldnt be concerned. The baby is getting squished in there and probably has a hard time repositioning itself. If you feel there may be a problem with your baby, and you feel that something isnt right (motherly instinct is rarely wrong) I would see your OBGYN right away and have the fetal heart rate checked. My son moved up until the day he was born (and I was induced 8 days late). All babies are different and it also depends on your physique. Hope this helps~

I hear that it's normal, your baby is pretty big at this point, and you have less room in there for rolling and kicking.

Once you get to a certain point in your pregnancy the baby runs out of room to move as much. This does not mean your baby is going to be born soon.

I'm pretty sure babies start moving less towards the end. They start running out of room. Although the kicks would be stronger I don't think they are as frequent.

I think you should speak to your midwife and get it checked if your that worried because probably your baby could be stressed

I didn't feel my little girl move for days at time and she was usually active. Doctor told me that babies, just like us, have active days and lazy days. She is almost 4 months now and acts the same way out of the womb. Yesterday she wouldn't take a nap...today she won't get up.

when i was pregnant with my daughter now 16mths old, i reached to around 34 wks with her movin constantly, then she stopped, i got worried after a few days and i went to my drs which sent me to the hospital for monitoring, she was just very sleepy they told me, but i had 2 keep a kick chart 2 make sure she moved 10 times in 1 day, i did that then her movement stopped completly at 36 wks, thats when she was born, like other people have said they dont really get much space to move around when they r bigger so the quieten down till they are ready 2 be born, just keep a kick chart, if u dont get 10 movements i would go 2 your doctors or hospital. best of luck

Hey! No need to worry, you are 35 weeks meaning the baby is a lot bigger and has not that much room to move around so he/she slows down with the movements. You should still be doing kick counts around this time but its okay if he/she is not as active as they were a few weeks ago the baby has grown a lot in the past couple of weeks, just no more room to go anywhere.

If you are concerned you should see your doctor and talk about it. Better safe than sorry. Sometimes you feel less movement if the baby is kicking towards your back but it is still moving lots.

Hi:
This is Darianna and I am new to this site!! This is my first day to be honest, and I know this about your situation:
I am 33 weeks along and my son to be has stopped moving for the last week already, only with pressure on him will he move! I am having to be monitoried very close, for pretrum labor..
I was told to do the following:
A; Lay on my left side, to get more oxygen to the baby!
B; Drink about 1/2 gallon of water a day!
C; put my legs up on pillows on my side for 30 mins at a time, oh at 90 degrees!
d: Eat, for the baby moves when full, so more food, about 700 cals a day!
I hope this helps you to get the baby to move! IF it takes more then two hours to feel the baby mome ten times, call your doctor!!
Good Luck!!

As your baby gets older and larger it has less room to move. If you do not feel the baby move for severa hours I would call the dr they will send you to the hospital for monitoring, better safe than sorry!
