I found out i was pregnant feb 15th at that time they told me i wasnt even 2 weeks I have had complication and had 3 ultrasound the first was feb 26th where i was told i was 4.7 weeks, the second was march 24th where i was 9.2 weeks the 3rd was april 1st where i was 10.5 all the dates have been a little different what is accurate and why do they say the earlier the ultrasound the more accurate..also that they varry 4+_ days would like to know when i concieved hard to tell which one is accurate

totallykatalicious - 100 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) They will go by development rather than size ... they can measure the baby via u/s and get a much better idea of the EDD.

mommy-of-3 - 103 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) As you begin to grow and reach certain milestones and your doctor checks the height of your uterus you will get a much better idea of your actual due date.

vikki - 107 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) The varience of 4 or so days isn't too bad. In the end they will be looking for how much development has happened rather than size. Remember, everyone grows at different speeds and that can give a quircky reading. The person doing the scan should be putting your LMP date in first and then they look at development in line with that. It sounds like the first one wasn't the most accurate one of all of them. It is hard to get an accurate reading sooooo early. I would trust the latter ones and as the baby is continuing to grow, that's great!

MelissaJoanne - 107 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Babies measure differently. The u/s calculations won't be as accurate as if you know your own cycle, such as first date of last period and conception date.

2nd1ontheway - 108 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) All babies grow at different rates.

Carmione - 109 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Because babies early in pregnancy can measure differently, that's why u/s techs give themselves 7-10 window for accuracy. It's just a standard- unfortunately that doesn't help us when we're trying to figure out when/where the baby dance worked for us. Good luck to you on figuring out what date to go with...the closer you get to 20 weeks, that's when babies normally all start falling within a certain growth range- between weeks 18 and 20 when they do your frist trimester anatomy scan.

katznkt - 109 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Mine were all different as well. My ultrasound due date varried by more than 10 days, and I had 4 of them. In the end i went with what my doctor said, and well see how accurate he was in another month and a half! If you dont know the exact date you conceived, then youll probably never know for sure, so either go with the day your doctor said, or pick a medium from the ultrasound test.

michaela - 109 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I agree with what mommytobe29 said.

mommytobe29 - 109 days ago Rating: 5 (3 votes) It is nearly impossible to figure out your conception date unless YOU personally know when it had to have been. Growing rates of baby's vary a lot as they grow bigger.. but in the beginning seem to develop at a very similar rate (this is why measurements of the embryo from early pregnancy are more accurate). As far as figuring out the conception date... if you don't know.. you probably won't know. Implantation can take up to 5 days... so even if you had sex one night, you may not have actually gotten "pregnant" (implantation) for up to 5 days.
