I don't think there's any way to prevent it, but at least if you know that you're that close to having it you can take as much precaution as possible. Don't do heavy lifting, try to stay off your feet, pamper yourself. :)

There's nothing you can do to prevent it, but you can just take it easy.

no, but to make you feel better, as you go along most of the time the previa will correct it self and pull up with the pregnancy. I had partial placenta previa (little more than half) and in my 8th month it pulled up. I was able to have a natural healthy delivery. right now try not to worry too much, especially since you dont technically have it. They will let you know when you need to worry :)

The short answer is nothing. The placenta is where it is and you can't do anything to move it . However there are things that you can do to be careful. Take things easy, don't lift anything heavy. I'm sure your Dr is going to put you on bedrest as soon as he feels things are getting to that point. And I know that it's easier to say than done but do TRY not to stress. Prayers are with you and your little one:-)

Hi:
You are just going to have to pray and be prayed for, for there is nothing that can stop placenta previa. But you can go on full bedrest and get the baby to 34 weeks or longer to have a healthy kido. With placenta Previa, you have to drink lots of water, 1/2 gallon a day, so start now!! How far along you are, will help also, you can reach me on here and I can tell you what all my sister had to do!! GOD BLESS and Good Luck!!

You can't do anything to stop it, therefore there is no point in stressing over it. Keep relaxed. On the plus side the Drs will probably keep a closer eye on you and your baby because of this so you will get to see your baby as you'll have regular scans. If you do notice any blood or get extreme pains don't hesitate to contact your care provider immediately. All the best.xx

As there isn't anything really that you can do to prevent it from happening- is not to put your body through undo stresses. I had a sub chorionic hemmorage which is basically an abruption and blood clot along the edge of the placenta. It has since resolved itself, but I was told to drink plenty of fluids, pelvic rest, lift nothing more than a gallon of milk, continue prenatals and make sure I monitor and spotting, heavy bleeding, cramping or change in discharge. Having previa can be frightening, but as long as you follow your dr's advice, your complications should be minimal. I wish you well!

I don't think there is anything to prevent it. I have it as well and my pregnancy is very normal otherwise.

You cannot determine where your placenta lies. It can move during pregnancy.

there is nothing you can really do to prevent it, if you do get it you'll be put on pelvic rest which means no intercourse or exams for the rest of your pregnancy. And you will have to take it easy so that it wont provoke bleeding so you cant do any strenuous housework or heavy lifting.

In general, there is nothing you can do to prevent placenta previa. However, you are at an increased risk if you smoke, have had a c-section, have fibroids, are of "advanced maternal age" or are expecting more than one baby. Avoid sexual intercourse and your doctor will probably not do any internal exams during your pregnancy to check dilation, baby presentation, etc. You should take it easy and avoid lifting, running and other physical activity to prevent hemorrhage. If you start bleeding, get medical help immediately! Best wishes.
